You guys mention that there is an optimal version and that the current patch isn't good for speedrunning but I'm curious as to know why.

Maybe i missed something- is it the amount of pages? The developer backdoor?

The current record in current patch recorded I believe is held by divineshadow, showing a significant time decrease between using the recommended patch and the current patch downloaded from steam directly.
