I was interested in running this game's individual levels and I saw that runs were done on original hardware. I was just curious if emus are allowed for this game and if so which is the one that is accepted?

Emulation is accepted, and other runners have used it. I used the PSN version on a PS3. Wasn't sure if I should've marked that off as PS or emulator, but since it was an official digital version on Playstation hardware I just went with PS. Good to see another NTSC player.

There are no specific rules around emulators. I would agree with AholeHamster that PS3 need not be considered emulation as it's official Sony hardware.
