Hi, i know this post is almost a year old but you are free to sent in records from whatever version of the game you play. Older versions are generally better for Speedrunning because they changed the way the game calculates the ingame time somewhere (Exact Version is not yet known), but you are free to use whatever version of the game you want to, aslong as you have video proof + endgame timer in the recording to verify your time.
Oh I didn't know they changed how they calculated things, how do I get the older versions?
The game differs across many aspects - the 1st released build was released around 2012, and it's very easy to get it on the internet among others.
As an example of the game version difference, there's a few examples:
- On the 2-2, the 1st obstacle height differs (unconfirmed, PC 1.0.4 compared to Android 1.2.1)
- 1.0 has a bonus called Slow Time. It was removed after some releases due to possible bug-fixes, and there was many of them, such as...
- A lot of animations are missing
- Slides aren't smooth (immediate run after performance, no fall)
- Impossible Non-Stop Jump
- ...and many other glitches
