below is a summary of the video in case you'd prefer to read. i will be referring to the video above for a couple of times.

1. welding bullet holes in rapid succession

the welder can fix up to 4 average sized bullet holes in one sitting without overheating. it also fixes at least 3 large bullet holes in evil science. for the extra large welding holes in revolutionary robotics, if timed correctly, an entire hole can be done without overheating.

the overheating mechanic also reduces the time taken to weld one bullet hole, as the timing to fix a bullet hole gradually gets lesser as you start to use the gun more. for example, in a single weld attempt, which is to continuously weld bullet holes without stopping at all, the first bullet hole takes about 2 seconds, while the 4th bullet hole takes about 0.5 seconds in one weld attempt(calculations unguaranteed, just an example).

also, you might notice sometimes whenever you interact with the welder, your frames would gradually be lesser. you can fix that problem by going into the pause screen 2 times, and your frames will be fixed.

2. welder throw trick

welder guns have an overheat cooldown, but you can skip the cooldown by throwing the gun away and picking it back up again. to instantly throw the welder, press g. however, pressing g only switches you to the mop, but there is a way to switch to other tools as well, which is to press the num keys first before pressing g.

so for example, i want to switch to hands after i throw the gun, and to switch to hands im going to press the '2' key on my keyboard. so first press '2', then press 'g' quickly. works for sniffer by pressing 3. if you have a broom or shovel in hand, pressing 4 would do.

remember to enter the pause screen twice to return your frames when experiencing frame drops.

3. keep welder in inventory

pick up the welder by clicking the left mouse button on it, but hold the LMB and don't release it just yet. instead, start pressing the num keys on your keyboard to switch to other tools. the welder will be stored in your num key 4 slot. if you already have a shovel or a broom in hand, scroll the mouse wheel button downwards and the gun will pop out.

note: make sure not to start pressing the num keys immediately, wait until either the gun or your hands are missing from the screen.
