After further testing, Shield Rush is a straight line and costs huge mana where Lunge has the same degree of freedom of movement as Teleport or Transplant, you just require a target, and that can be mobs or destructibles on the ground. Boss fights with the Sentinel are easy, spec warpath for leech + added defense and you can lunge from target to target and spin to win if it's a nice looking target.
I might even say Sentinel is more viable than Rogue? Depends on placement of mobs / destructibles, and are those static or generated? Playthroughs 2, 3, and 4 of the first couple of areas are strangely reminiscent of playthrough 1.
I've been thinking about getting into speed running for a while, and LE seems to be a pretty cool game with a lot going for it. If you had any tips I'd be appreciative!
I'm particularly wondering why you're so confident in the video desc you posted, saying you've played one class and both don't want to experiment and can't imagine a better build. Very strong words. Is the spec of Acolyte you chose really so OP compared to the rest? And how can you be sure? Mage gets teleport at 10, and it doesn't impact mana much, and the cooldown is decent. Perhaps that's viable?
Edit: Yeah, Primalist has a leap early on, Rogue has a low cd dash, Mage has an outright teleport 3 levels earlier than Acolyte gets Transplant. The only one who seems to be lacking mobility is Sentinel, and that's because their speed tech requires a target... which I'm sure could be worked around. Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of speedrunning potential in this game. Further edit: After playing a Sentinel, I found they get Shield Rush at 10 passives, and you can just hold that to go through enemies fast so Sentinel's in the game imo. This is 0.8.1C, though. Things may have been different two months ago.
