It's not because of the length for why other worlds haven't been added. It's because the current rules would likely have to be altered, possibly to include help from someone else or some other means of compensating for the fact that you'd otherwise be running several dungeons solo while being very underleveled. Wizard City has no dungeons the player needs to go through in any of the current categories, so soloing it is manageable.
The only thing about pet races is that people would have to very specifically breed and raise a pet solely for that to even compete effectively. Not saying it couldn't be a thing but the setup required for it would really limit how many people could/would run it, simply because for a perfect run, you'd need a pet with just a bunch of speed talents.
You have some good ideas SSR, but the biggest things to iron out before making them into actual run types would be the rules and limitations. As of right now, you cannot start with any preset gear or have any help (this also includes crown items and mounts). While specific dungeon runs could be possible I feel, limitations would still need to be ironed out and the idea of if more than just your character goes through it as well. The problem with allowing players to get other players to help them is usually because people could just get maxes to help them (gear and all) and then just blaze through the run like that. I'm open to having more categories (I've tossed around the idea of a Krok% or Fire Pyramid% lately) but as I've said, the new rulings would have to be discussed, especially since krok introduces dungeons which would be difficult to do on one's own, especially when someone is likely underleveled from speedrunning. One solution I thought of is players may need to do the optimum xp earning side quests to boost up their character beforehand to survive, which can add another degree of strategy to the runs, but that's just one possible method.
Gotcha. I messaged him on twitch but I'll try whispering him too. I rarely use twitch's messaging feature but i'll keep an eye on it for now.
I checked his twitter but it looks like he hasn't posted anything on there in around a year. His youtube seems to be in a similar state. As for his twitch, I'd really have to catch him streaming for that.
Two of the three have been gone for months. The one who hasn't (as mentioned by kobepilgrim) was on about five days ago. How do I "request help on the feedback thread"? Or even find it for that matter lol. I'm new to this site and speedrunning.
Hello, my name is Matthew. About a week ago I did my first speedrun and I managed to get a time on my second attempt that would put me on the Wizard101 Harvest Lord% leaderboards. I also noticed that there haven't been any new runs since 5 months ago. I don't know if this is due to less people running or if people's runs here just aren't being verified. My run has also not yet been verified. So i'm wondering if someone would be able to verify the run I posted for me? Or if I just need to hope someone volunteers again for my specific game and category? If anyone is able to help, please reply. Thank you.
