California, USAgot a new computer, went from barely 60 at best to 120 fps, nearly pb'd 3 times in 1 night. picked up a bunch of gold splits IGT (on top of the expected like 10 minutes of RTA loads). yeah convicts died much faster to the smg and the mounted gun (very noticeable with the mounted gun obliterating the front seat passengers in like 2-3 shots). larry also was consistently 1 gun'd where before I'd usually need to have a backup smg and might need 20 bullets in it, but some fights I had like 25 in my 1st smg, so he was dying in 75-85 bullets instead of like 95-120. the tank turret section seemed slightly faster as well, but just barely. I noticed on my final run isabella was just faster with the machine pistol and not with the first shotgun blast people have been using, but only barely, missed the shotgun shot and saved 1 bullet instead of the usual 25 smg + 1 shotgun blast. seems like paul also goes down faster from the smg.
other fights are less noticeable, like cliff seems about the same, cletus seems about the same, grocery guy is similar. also other guns dont seem to matter, like jack did not die faster to sniper headshots, carlito 1 did not make a difference with the shotgun. carlito 2 also seemed to be the same, but also I never got the good luck and had him sit still, so I couldn't tell. taser also seems unaffected, but also it's still fast as hell (had similar amounts of durability left in it, so I wasn't saving that). so yeah, seems to just affect machine guns. not sure if you wanna lower the fps cap or not to 60, cause like it's definitely easier to pb with more frames.
is this happening to anyone else after the new patch? livesplit just lags like crazy and cant even run, auto splitter on or off. is there a workaround or something? I cant really speedrun this game without a timer right now haha
no longer applies, recent patch fixed it, you can just stare directly at the resin with normal settings and it melts in like 15-20 fuel
for the past few months, any time livesplit auto updates (well really when a new update is available and the popup shows up), livesplit will crash as soon as the auto splitter starts. updating it through the app does not fix this, my only solution so far has been to download the latest version through the website every time and then open my splits and layouts from file and re-set all my global hotkeys. I don't understand if the problem is the auto splitter or livesplit or what, but I thought I'd start here. it's very inconvenient.

you gotta add like any% or something to it. there's a level categories thing under the normal categories, it's cause sometimes you can do like 100% IL's or secret exit vs normal exit or whatever in other games.

my friend, I am telling you it says "there is no auto splitter available for this game" in livesplit. can you please put it in resources, splits is not the same thing. I can manually activate it with the scriptable auto splitter setting I think if I have the file.
livesplit is not auto detecting an autosplitter based on the game title, would be nice to use since the board looks like it's being run on in game time.
guess it's gonna depend on what it is, haven't done any myself so I don't know, just been running any% and by extension husbandman. could just be like the any% route if it's faster, idk

whoops, missed this post somehow, added character variables. Jerry is slower, but like it's still just any% so filters can just be used if there's ever more runs.
added a beat hell boss category, apparently I deleted my 100% file so I forget what his name is. time start on game start, time end on scythe grab
I thought it was just dont die, but some runs the glitch state doesnt activate and I got lasers, good aim shooty knight, and skeletons all over me on 0 death.
ok figured it out, if the glitch that despawns the skeleton isnt active, it doesnt work. it makes the knight just move faster for some reason
I thought it was a just run forward lol trick, but I'm getting shot every time. is there a setting I need to enable or what?
ok, so both top times are on current patch, so nah, we're good on patch sub categories for now. 100% or all bosses could be a thing though, maybe dungeon categories when those get added
wtf is graveyard skip? the clip into hell well? I've seen 2 current patch runs do that clip
