If the tas used the same timing rules as are allowed to be submitted, then yes, sub 26 would be possible, if it used standard tas rules most likely not.

Just face towards the pipe and press jump twice quickly, a more consistent way I use is to roll my thumb from the b to the a button at the right speed. It saves less than half a second though, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much

As for recording, you don't need any fancy recording equipment, simply using a phone to record video would suffice, this is what the majority of runners do.

It would be more likely made a category if there were runs of it, so I would do a run if you want to increase the chances of it being a category. Also, none of the moderators are inactive in moderating the game as of now.
