Kura and Soulcloset have made some great points, so I don't really have much to add.
Having all the times in one video isn't really an issue. Preferably have the timestamps for the level in the comments, just makes verification easier.
Additionally, some of the IL's you submitted were on different categories and platforms. That can be edited by mods so it's fine if they're in wrong categories/platforms.
Really sorry for rejecting the run, the video was really well made and I'd imagine it took a while to edit, but we have to be sure as to ensure that times are accurate and verified as to ensure that cheaters are not getting through.
How will Katana% be timed, in-game or RTA? Or better yet, both, similar to how time with loads and time without loads is with other games.
It depends on what gets removed and whether or not the GOG version is faster. I say leave it for a while, see what happens and what gets patched.
Finally well enough to do stuff, gonna start keeping up with new runs and verifying stuff.
Wasn't expecting it, gonna try and do a good job.
Also gonna add that people need to read the rules for runs, runs don't start on loading kick.lvl after resetting story mode, you need to run superhot.exe after resetting.
As per AMVX's request, I made a guide on the skips and one pre-run time save that we know of right now. They use the earliest possible point you can use them as of now and if they are improved in the future, I'll make an updated video.
0:20 - Kick.lvl - Before a run 2:56 - Subway.lvl 8:40 - Tiralley.lvl 9:58 - Serv.lvl 11:00 - Dog1.lvl 17:34 - Hacker.lvl
Gonna do one later today
NG+ was one of the stretch goals for the Kickstarter. It seems to have become the challenge modes now.
Thinking about it earlier, but how about an ultra difficult Superhot% miscellaneous category. I was thinking deathless, no hotswitching (except from necessary ones, Fall and Core) and possibly no weapons.
Would anyone be interested in this sort of thing?
There is a stickied thread for cheating, complaints and suggestions, better off posting things like this there in the future. The mods will see this either way though so it's fine.
Also, there isn't a PM system yet, it's been in the works for a while, that's what the message icon at the top is gonna be for.
Update on skips
On Subway and Tiralley you can only go to menu after Unauthorized Access
On Serv you can skip the breach location bar, saves a second or two in addition to the two minutes you save.
On Dog1 you can go to menu right after you have clicked through Superhot, even before the text popping up telling you you have no control.
Finally, you can close the game almost immediately after the chat appears at the end of Hacker.
Also, if you load Kickstart and then reset and run, it saves 2 seconds. Same as it did in beta.
Found a skip in dog1. Once you have waited and it starts telling you that they're in control, just Escape to menu and you can move onto hospital.
EDIT: You can skip subway and tiralley once the unauthorized access screen has been shown, just hit escape to go to menu, load superhot.exe and it should take you to the message prompt. From there you hit escape and start sh.exe as normal.
For serv, you can quit after it does the location thingy, again, hit escape and load sh.exe then message prompt etc.
In dog 1 you can quit once it tells you that you aren't in control.
Finally, as mentioned initially, you can close the game after hacked has ended and the chat box has appeared and the red guy has started writing his first line. I waited until I had to type so I don't know exactly at what point you can quit. After closing it you just reopen and it's all fine.
subway, tiralley, serv and dog 1 save seconds, whereas hacker saved a good minute or two.
Playing it just now and figured out that you can close the game during the chat with the red guy, saving about 2 minutes.
We have one, join it using this link https://discord.gg/0l3TlaoBWZaotPyR
"I just watched the Beta run. Jesus. I'd predict this being a sub half hour game when it's all said and done."
I'd go as far as to say this game could reach 20 minutes with enough time and practice. 30 minutes is absolutely possible though.
Awesome, also here's full list for individual levels, few new ones and the order for beta ones is slightly different.
kickstart alley corridor drop subway jump shots fightclub desperado break tiralley serv dog1 hospital donut dog2 oldboy elevator dog3 ballroom meeting hacker fall stair office station train gate lobby longway core free
So with Heero's run being verified, are we using starting superhot.exe as the start of the run and hitting yourself after becoming the core as the end?
Also, what are we using for NG+%, haven't got round to playing it so I don't know if it's different or anything.
Will do. Again, new levels might be added in the full release on 25th, I'll post them here if there are any.
EDIT: Was just about to try some ILs, better wait until full release in case some levels are faster in BETA.
Bit late, but level list is as follows. Might be worth waiting for full release though for a complete list if any are added.
kickstart alley corridor drop subway jump shots dog1 fightclub desperado break dog2 tiralley serv hospital donut elevator dog3 oldboy ballroom meeting hacker
Ninja-Edit: Probably best to say timing starts when you select the level and ends on the words SuperHot appearing once the level is over and everyone is dead.
Thanks for the replies, turns out I didn't start the server because I'm an idiot.
