Yeah, I discussed with authorblues about the board being added. The rules need to be updated, since they do allow boards to be added ahead of time with large expected interest. I also mod and have been a part of the askiisoft community for a while. Sorry about the confusion.
How did you get started here? What/who lured you in? Definitely this run: I had no interest in speedrunning Meat Boy, but I remember this being one of the first runs I'd ever seen. I've been a runner, viewer, and community member ever since.
What's the most important thing in speedrunning? Whats the ultimate goal? For me, it's always been the community. I really like chatting with people who like going fast just like I do. I'm kind of notorious in my communities for learning runs and never improving my times, but that just happens to be my thing. I really love learning runs. I'd say the ultimate goal is to go as fast as possible, but that's something I've never done haha
Do you play or just watch? Why do you like it so much? Both! It's been a great time watching GDQs since I gained interest in speedrunning, and the community has always been huge for me. It's so much fun to learn new tricks. I'm looking to break Katana Zero, since I've wanted to route for a very long time but I never got too much of a chance. I love meeting new people in new communities, that being the main reason it's been so enjoyable.
How has speedrunning and/or this community impacted your life? It's made me a much more social person online, and I'm extremely grateful to have met the people I've been in contact with so far. It's also broke out outside of my life, being a hobby I can talk about. It's weird to see more people have heard of it because of large events, so that's great to see as well. Overall it's been so positive and I can't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Hey all! Katana Zero launches on April 18th this year. Since the game hasn't released at the time of this board being accepted, I thought I'd clarify. I like what the Sekiro guys are doing in locking the leaderboard until a set date. I kinda doubt this game will get that much attention, but I suspect it will at least get a little. That said, I'm waiting to see what categories work for the game first, before adding them to the leaderboard. Timing methods I suspect should stay the same way.

@Dangerless Both myself and a runner named thisisnotjake have a tied WR in the submission queue (assuming he submitted). Unfortunately none of the other runners for this specific game are too active in running it as far as I can tell.

@Komrade I can't speak for the others, but I know Alpharad especially is notoriously bad at being active on SRC. I mod a game called WaveLand and we had to do the same thing here as he was the only super mod and refused to care about the community he started as a joke.

Well in the case of Cuphead, video evidence would very clearly be required for the game to be accepted to SRC, so I don't understand how it got in without one. Just curious.
To the Admins: Why are some games being accepted without the (what I thought was required) full run of the game with video evidence?
I'm attempting to make a spreadsheet that will update when an WR IL with a certain modifier is accepted. Ideally I'm trying to make a leaderboard viewer similar to the one that shows when you click "View all" in the Individual Level leaderboard dropdown in the left sidebar, but with a different modifier instead of just the fastest time. I'm assuming using the importXML feature of Google Spreadsheets will work, specifically if I could find where in the the WR time text is in the HTML (but I couldn't find it). Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

So doubletaco and I decided to make a Discord server for speedrunning of the askiisoft games, since Katana Zero is (supposedly) coming out soon and there wasn't really any other place for discussion. At the time of adding the categories we weren't aware that there even was a NG+ option (since it was before the game's release). If you're willing to run it, the mod team will gladly add the category for you.
