Howdy all - I've been speedrunning Awakening in many forms for the past 10 years now and it's a game I have several thousand hours on. It's my favourite game of all time.

I wanted to ask about the potential for a 100% category. I realise that this would be highly difficult to achieve, both in general and for a speedrun, but I've been working on a segmented run for Awakening 100% (with DLC) and I achieved a few times, ranging from my first run of 361h and my most recent completed time of 139:01. I'm actually working on the first known sub 100h run right now as a matter of fact - it's relatively close to completion too.

The rules/requirements I would propose for this category would be:

  • All units must be recruited (no deaths are allowed)
  • All units must be maxxed out in all stats for the class they finish in, including Limit Breaker (I took the liberty to max out their stats across all classes but that was a personal preference, its a possibility for the requirement)
  • All unit supports must be maxxed to A (or S where relevant)
  • All unit weapon proficiencies must be maxxed to A (even if the weapon type is not used on the final class assigned to the unit)
  • All units must learn all skills that they can naturally learn from any of their classes, alongside DLC skills learned to all units (e.g. Paragon, Iote's Shield, Limit Breaker)
  • All maps must be completed, including all DLC maps and the final boss
  • (Optional category potentially) Spotpass units must be recruited and maximised to the same rules as all other units (20 spotpass/DLC recruited units, all max stats, weapon ranks, skills etc.)
  • Difficulty is optional, excluding easy, however Classic mode must be used (my most recent run is being completed on Classic Lunatic+ however past runs were on Hard mode)
  • Time is measured on the save file timer (segmented run, parts can be repeated for better RNG if preferred)

WHAT IS NOT REQUIRED:

  • Max money (999,999 gold) - still considering whether or not this should be included
  • Max items (convoy items x99 for all items) - this is completely unrealistic to achieve
  • Max stats on credits for every character (battles/victories) - I dont even know what the max is

I believe this includes everything in the criteria for 100% including DLC. Let me know if there's anything I've forgotten about.

How does this sound for a potential category? I think it's really cool to max out the games that we love to the point of absurdity, effectively making them unplayable where no further progress can be made.

I realise that this is quite unrealistic, but I have quite enjoyed grinding out my times and lowering them from 361h, to 180h, to 161h and lastly to 139:01. My grind for the sub 100h has been very difficult and long, but also highly rewarding to see just how far I dropped my time to such an important time boundary.

Any thoughts and replies to this are welcomed!
