I would like to announce that I am stepping down from my position of super moderator, and moderator in general, and allowed IslandGoSAMe to take up this role more effectively. I have been a quite shitty mod so far so I think this is fitting. Island was dedicated to the game in its main 2 weeks of competition, and I was glad that I could ignite such competition between ourselves. However, I would like to contribute one last resource to the community, and as such will be working on a TAS of the game, maybe reigniting something.

there is a way to leave the great plateau with a very precise btb but the paraglider check picks it up before you reach hyrule castle or any further than the lake hylia region.

For me it would make an interesting run to watch... I'd say I'd run it but I probably won't.

To be fair all the run would be is hack in the paraglider and teleport to Hyrule Castle so I'm fine with people who don't want this... probably would be far too broken.

A ROM hack category could be added. This would bean that a run can use soft-modding. I'm not hoping for anything but some other games like Mario Odyssey have it and I just thought it would be quite fun.

@The_Bromie Oh thanks, I previously thought that Best Ending required you to complete all main story missions and free the divine beasts, as well as get the master sword... This is because there are technically 18 that I was thinking of, including those related to the master sword and divine beasts. So basically the run is just to complete the 'Captured Memories' quest? @WoofWoof2 If so, then this is far too similar, as you are just not beating ganon. Best Ending runs could technically be submitted and retimed otherwise, after getting the 13th memory.

best ending is different because you do main quests and master sword and divine beasts. It is a much more extensive run.

for the record, i think he's pretty set on wanting to run it also i know a lot of others that would love the category... i'd say i want to run it but i think i'll try any% first so no promises

also, on an unrelated note, i think this would work better as a category extension, similar to SMO low%

you need the sheikah slate to get the bomb rune also apparatus storage is not required unless you want to wrong warp, which is done in a different save file to the one where the skip is performed

yes, but if we use weapons for the ganon fights, we will end up breaking more items than just the sheikah slate and bomb rune, so the bomb rune would be most efficient

so low% would be:

I agree with @mikey. if the easiest way to beat the game is with just bombs, then it will just turn into twilight princess low%, staring at rupees for 17 hours.
