If it's not stated in the rules, then it's not an invalid run. The glitch is similar to how Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 handle their NG+ categories (which is what they are, whether or not they want to admit it). This glitch should have been discussed beforehand. If it satisfies the conditions of the rules, then it's a valid run; do not enforce something that's not in the rules.

And as for "This is the case with all games that have a glitch that is done before starting" -- Banjo-Kazooie does exactly NOT this.
