And make sure you do some practice recordings/streams before going for a run. The amount of times x-Split decided to die on me or I just forgot to hit the record button I lost count!
Everyone loves a bit of Sega they just don't want to admit it. lol I mean I will be looking at some nintendo games too but I am looking for a decent game for running so I can submit it for ESA 2016
Hey it would be really good for users to be able to see the latest 10 posts on the forum on the front page.
The way I thought it could work is if you reduced the main column max width to 1024px and add a floating DIV underneath the twitter widget with the latest 10 posts from the forum.
It might encourage people visiting the site to post more on the forums.
Can you add me as a mod to Dead Rising 3. Only me and vanity really run it and he has been inactive for a while. I need to add a new coop category for the game as I got a co-op run to submit.
Dead rising 3. It was the first game I ran its good to run between two. You can check my twitch for a co op run video of it.
It's a good balance of luck, r n g and skill.
There's currently around 5 runners for the game at the moment so it's a upcoming scene
By the looks of it <ul id id ="searchmenu"> is what you need to search for, for the No Results. Blurb update (This is the easy quick win)
Then search for <li id='searchplaceholder'> that will bring up the function for the search pop up function where you sholuld be able to implement a simple <a href> in to the bottom of the list
well I do think the logic of: if date submitted > 1 week old then use run date.
elseif date submitted < 1 week then use verification date.
would work best in all situations so hey ho lets see :)
True that so in that case...
If it aint broke don't fix it. :P
Hey small tweak to the site that I think would save a lot of aggro for newcomers and shouldn't be a hard addition to the script...
If you search for a game and no results come back. Instead of just saying "No Results" change it to "No Results. Do you want to submit a run for this game?" or something similar with a link to the request game.
And if you wanted to be really picky then you can add it to the bottom of the search results regardless of the results.
i.e.
Game Doesn't Exist? Request Game here
Or. Just set a limit to amount of submissions you can post within 24 hours. i.e. 3 submissions per 24 hours.
A moderator for a game has the ability to refuse a submission and give a reason behind it. I doubt they would not process it because it is "shit." The more submissions a game has against it the more popular that game will become. I can only assume that they haven't reviewed your submission yet.
And like Adam said, if the game has dropped off the grid and the moderators aren't active you can put a request in on the forums surely.
Hey guys,
I thought I start a thread for people to show of their own Twitch panel art etc.
I was really bored at work yesterday so I ended up making my own. What art do you guys have on yours?
Then couldn't you set up some flood protection parameters. i.e.
if date submitted > 1 week old then use run date.
elseif date submitted < 1 week then use verification date.
that way you wouldn't get flooded by runs from external leaderboard imports.
p.s. Trollbear 100th follower get. lol :3
Hey, I just noticed that the latest runs list on the front page works on the basis of what the date is set to on the run submission rather than the time the submission was made/verified.
i.e.
If I just submitted and verified a run today, which was completed yesterday and I set the date to the 15th June it will appear at the very bottom of the latest runs list.
surely. The list should populate from when runs are verified and listed rather than the date used within the submission form.
I can only assume it's done like this because there is no timestamp recorded when runs get verified and there is nothing else to hook to?
Nice suggestion I will give it a go. I am going to give Golden Axe a run for it's money. I actually own this game just never played it lol.
Any others out there? Also how competitive is the Sonic run community?
Hi Guys,
I am looking for some sega megadrive, megacd or saturn games to do speed runs of.
At the moment I run mainly run games which are around 1hr-4hrs long so looking for games which I can run within 30minutes - 1hour.
Any ideas?
Well it's not just a region mod. You can add a region override switch to the megadrive but the 60hz switch overclocks the megadrive.
So for JAP games you would switch it to JAP and switch to 60hz.
But I also know you can run PAL on 60hz with the region set to PAL. If it's true 60hz thats a different matter. lol
So then the only ideas I had...
- Would running a PAL game on a Modded 60hz PAL console give same results of a NTSC console and NTSC game
- Would buying a NTSC Sega Genesis and making it region free and playing PAL on NTSC console still give the same performance of a NTSC console + NTSC game
What if... I get one of my spare PAL consoles and added a 50/60Hz switch to it.
If I run PAL games at 60hz would it effectively be like running the NTSC version with the speed benefit?
