Honestly, for time attack, it doesn’t really matter—just try to match the settings stated in the rules. As long as you show your settings after the run, I can verify if they’re correct. I always check the first run no matter what. For full-game runs, as long as your time isn’t close to the world record, the settings don’t matter too much, and I’ll let you know if anything is off.

TL;DR: Do a run, show your emulator settings in the recording afterward, and submit it.
