It's probably a bad idea to just jump straight into doing a run anyway. Personally, I always practice individual segments for like 2-3 minutes to get warmed upbefore resetting and doing runs for real. There, problem solved.

Assuming you don't play on emulator, the rules are incredibly simple - just have a visible reset. The only reason I've seen console runs get rejected for in the Discord is from not knowing that segmented runs cannot submit IGT. It pales in comparison to the amount of times that someone asks why their emulator run got rejected.

The problem with allowing Fusion RTA is text advancement. Everyone does it at varying speeds so it's really hard to separate any potential differences from time gain/loss from text mashing.

It would be nice though, ZM is really similar to Fusion so chances are they are similar.

No rule against that.

Hell I use a keyboard which is completely different. The keys that correspond to the buttons are nowhere near what the layout would be for a normal controller.

You can use a Game Boy Player for the GameCube.

I guess its' because the category would be incredibly boring and full of refilling?

The lowered ammo count can really suck in some places. The one part I'm thinking of is the part after breaking the glass tube - you'd need to refill your power bombs like a million times because you use a lot of power bombs in that section.

There's one emulator none of us have tested - Higan. Not sure if it'll be more accurate than BizHawk, but the problem is Higan uses a huge amount of CPU compared to BizHawk, and BizHawk actually manages to emulate a lot more closely to console with a similar amount of CPU usage compared to VBA. My laptop sucks, so I'm sticking with BizHawk for the time being.
