Moral of the story - If the man on fire running towards you is Ukrainian, they know what they're doing, so you should run away twice as fast
Would like to change the name of https://www.speedrun.com/scott_pilgrim_vs_the_world_the_game_complete_edition to "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition" The reason being that it has the proper punctuation and capitalization (Evidence being https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/scott-pilgrim-vs-the-world-the-game-complete-edition-switch/ ).
Just a quick question: Does anyone know where I can find a CD key for use with the JPN Sourcenext version of the game? Thanks.
My trick to doing it is once you get through the barrier, move close to the bottom of the screen, then run right until you see the screen move down and then back up, meaning you're at the last screen (The snowy section where the final door is). Once that happens, move to the top of the screen, then continue right. If you did it right, you'll hear the sound of the door opening as you pass by it. Once you do, slowly walk back until you hear it open again, then stop and move up, entering the door. I'm sure there's other ways to do it, but that's the most reliable method I've used. It helps to visualize the map in your head as you do it. Let me know if you need more clarification. I can always make a video guide for it.
As in a run where you're required to beat the game 4 times with each character fresh? I'm open to the idea, but we already have more than enough categories that get no love whatsoever.
Just letting y'all know, I added both title updates for both consoles under the "Patches" section of the Resources tab. The game itself and what you play it on is still on you to figure out, but I hope this makes it just a bit easier to get started. Let me know if they don't work.
Hey, just a heads up, I was put on as mod yesterday, and I just now finished up completely flipping around the layout. Now instead of singleplayer and multiplayer being the categories, now Any% and NG+ and Boss Rush are the categories. I think it looks a lot better and feels more organized now. All runs ever submitted (Current and obsolete) are where they should be.
Requesting mod status for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game ( https://www.speedrun.com/scott_pilgrim_vs._the_world_the_game ). Only mod on the board has been inactive for 21 days. I've been waiting for runs to be verified for 18 days. I've tried contacting him through both Twitter and Discord, but neither work. He didn't respond to my tweet at him, and messaging him on Discord is blocked unless we're friends, and he won't accept my friend request.
The splitter is up in the "resources" section of the leaderboard for Postal now.
Hey. So I mod for Postal '97, and we need an autosplitter badly. I know how to write one, and the one I made works for the main two categories. Problem is, a tiny difference between the first two and the other two runs is making it impossible for me to figure out how to get the autosplitter working for all categories. If someone could help me figure out how to finish it, that'd be greatly appreciated. I keep seeing stuff about an autosplitter developers discord, but all the invites I find are invalid.
I speedrun the game Postal, with 2 other active runners. I think it would make things much more official and even for the 3 of us if we used an autosplitter, since we use different methods of splitting, leading to a bit of disadvantage. Problem is, I cannot figure out how to use Cheat Engine to write one. Can't find the right memory values for level transitions, and such. If I could get help writing one, or advice on where to find someone that can, that'd be greatly appreciated, thanks.
