Madison, WI, USAI was debating whether to verify the 12:48 time since there was a death after the whistle... but the timing rules for the game say the timing ends when you hear the whistle, so everything afterwards shouldn't count. It's obvious it's an intentional death, a little bit of theatrics, so I'm verifying it. Other mods can weigh in, but I'm fine with it.
By the letter of the law..... yes. By the spirit of the rule.... no. If someone submitted that and said "I heard the whistle!" I would probably approve it and then change the rule lol.
As a moderator, I would approve a video if the only video we had was of a CRT being filmed.
It looks to me like you shell jumped off of the shell, and after you did, the parakoopa hit it which turned it around.
The error message "this patch not intended for this ROM" usually shows up when you have a corrupted version of SMW. Or a version of SMW that's already been patched.
Make sure the SMW ROM that you (legally) obtained is clean. It should be 512KB, whereas the hacks you patch should be something else, usually 1024, 2048, or 4096KB.
Yep, looks like he missed it. Man, I hate doing it to Arisen, but rules are rules. What's sad about that is it's a free secret that would've only added a few more seconds to the run. oof

That's a negative. All submitted runs require video evidence to be approved.
Glitchcat DM'd me asking about some runs of his that had been deleted. I also noticed a few submissions mentioning deleted runs.
I'm 99% sure that this is due to the recent security breach on the site. On April 1st (April Fool's Day, no less), a few accounts were compromised and some of the boards were royally messed up. So it looks like speedrun.com just wound back the clock to before the incident.
I have gone through and verified all the runs that I remember verifying before, but if you're missing a run on the boards, the only thing that you can do is resubmit and we'll moderate it again.
To follow up on what MCRikki said, if you use the -3.20 timer start, you should then start your splits when you press "Player 1 Game". 3.2 seconds will go by before you have control over Luigi.
This is the easiest way to start your splits at the correct time.
I just found this game. I'm curious why 100% times are faster than Any% times.
