I'd recommend TB's video, he explains the setup for the ww really well. It's what I used :^)
To answer the question, yes you can speedrun the Collectors Edition. You can speedrun any version of OoT, very few glitches are version exclusive.
this may also be specific to my ps2, but it seems like if I don't turn on smooth texture mapping as well that my ps2 crashes nine times out of ten.
Fast Disc speed needs to be enabled every time you turn off your ps2.
nobody told me this, and now i'm facepalming because my 100 egg pb could be like 2 minutes faster
enable fast disc speed every time you turn on your ps2
every time
So basically, if I'm not using a memory card there's nothing to worry about?
I just finished learning 100 egg, and I'm practicing before doing runs. But when I was looking at the rules I saw "Easy-Mode throughout the whole run is not allowed".
I know dying in Sunny Villa can activate easy mode, but is there any way to disable it? Does this mean dying in Sunny Villa can invalidate your entire run?
I'm buying spyro 3 with the intentions of learning any% and 100 eggs, which version is the fastest? Are there any differences between the original and the greatest hits version?
It makes sense to me to enter the dungeon, clear the cutscene, and then save and reset or something. If you require the cutscene for every attempt, that means in places like DRC and FW you'd have to make your way from the nearest spawn all the way up to the dungeon, just for one attempt, which is super tedious and doesn't really effect anything in either dungeon.
As for making sure the dungeon is untouched, it would be very obvious if something were already completed or half completed in the dungeon, it just means if someone gets the fastest time, just watch over the video and make sure it's legit.
That would be cool, thanks! And thanks for the answers
The rules for IL's don't seem to be listed on here, so I just want to ask a few questions.
Can you start on file select? Because EMS is a thing, is the Master Sword allowed in DRC, FW, or TotG? Can your file have the effects of Elixir Soup active before starting?
Also, will 100% categories be added for IL's?
Yeah, I've realized after doing 30 or so attempts that it's not really a big deal to change the options for each run. Thanks for the response :)
I'm learning this game atm, and was wondering if there's a way to save your options? If I could avoid setting fast/off for every reset that would be nice.
It would be cool if there were IL times. Obviously any% wouldn't make sense for them, but 100% IL leaderboards would be pretty cool.
