Fair enough. I can see myself running a more significant feat like Rank 10 or defeat Maat as a full-game/completion category. Level leaderboards sound like fun as well for the more minor goals.

What do you think about a fairly short category? Perhaps something like Level 10, Unlock Support Job, or Rank 3. The shortest main category on the leaderboard right now is over 9 hours, so I was wondering what people's opinions are for adding something that you don't need to set aside your entire day to complete.

The leaderboard needs to be revamped for categories. Since the game has 2 separate settings for difficulty and game type, a broad description like "Ultimate Any%" isn't indicative of the difficulty.

I recommend having separate tabs for each difficulty setting (easy, normal, hard, devilish) and then have sub category tabs for game type (normal, ultimate, critical).

When exactly should we begin and end the timer for these runs? I watched Sabatour100's Easy any% run recently and it seemed like the timer started in the middle of a cutscene. The timer stopped on the final hit of nobunaga's demon form and that makes sense.

Also, the ability to skip cutscenes seems to depend on using a save file where the player has completed the game at least once. However, this may only be the case with the PS2 version. How would you feel about starting the timer right as you gain control of samonosuke at the temple?

As well as timing, I also wanted to address the 3 additional weapons you can acquire with samonosuke once he is transported to france in the future. Would those be allowed in any category? I realize that they are not difficult to obtain and would greatly speed up a run. On the other hand, they require use of a previous save file. I don't know if that is considered extra content or whatever but it doesn't quite make a run feel like I'm starting from the beginning.

What are your thoughts on this?

I was wondering if it would be worth it to recruit Tikatika to your crew at some point during any% run. I was having quite a few of my torpedoes miss their targets in all of my routing/practice so I theorized this.

I know that having Tikatika in your active crew increases the Hit% of your torpedoes. While collecting several discoveries in the upper sky of Ixa'taka, I think that you could make a quick stop afterwards and grab him. Now I was going by in-game time and I clocked it as roughly a 4-minute detour. You would have to sail to Horteka, go to the back area with the elder's hut and lookout cliff, talk to Tikatika, and leave.

In my opinion, having him in your crew can potentially save you a full turn in a few of the later ship battles. This may require more extensive testing, but I feel that saving a full turn in 2 or more ship battles (and those turns can take like 2 minutes each) would be worth the time spent recruiting Tiktika.

Any thoughts on this?
