Virginia, USAGreat first run! I would recommend downloading the speedrun mod so you can get the in game timer. The WR runs use this timer so the in game menuing is not counted. It is allowed for runs. Feel free to join the discord if you have any issues finding it!
Nice run! You can also use the gadget start mod for this category and should start with bomb on small.
Great run! In the main menu, if you click on Modding there are two allowed mods: 1 for timer and 1 for gadget start.
You lost a decent bit of time by using RTA so I'd recommend at least downloading the timer mod so you can be using the same timer as everyone else.

Nice run! Just so you know, you're losing a lot of time by using livesplit instead of the in game timer mod.
In the main menu, if you click on "modding" you should be able to download the "Speedrun Pack" and "Hello_WorldGadgetSelector". Both of those mods are approved to use on runs. Feel free to join the discord and @ me if there are any questions or issues.
No worries! You had a great run here and I think with the In Game Timer you definitely have a shot for sub 3.
The Gadget Selector Mod is key too as you can start with bomb and that saves ~25 seconds of time to undig the relic.

There is a mod for an in game timer that pauses during menuing, a mod that allows quick reseting (life saving mod), and a mod that lets you start with an additional gadget (which the game allows if you die with a gadget and choose to restart the run). These are the only 3 accepted mods.

When I first joined, Sessito's 2:57 run was the only run below 3 minutes and that run inspired me to make sure this game got the speedrun I felt it deserved. I never thought I would actually beat him but here we are and the run is now 40 seconds ahead of him. (He did it gadgetless & without modifiers though, respect the OG of Dome Keeper!!!!)
I'm particularly proud this also beat the fixed seed run as that was my goal all along! Random seed is a RNG fest but I think you can consistently beat sub 3 with practice and lots of attempts. I was getting finished runs at 2:4x-2:5x minutes around once or twice per hour. Getting a time this low is actually incredible and the fact I also got the mushroom cave on top of finding relic so fast and the soil being soft was the icing on the cake.
Hopefully, this run will inspire someone to do the same later on! There are plenty of talented gamers out there and this run does have some time to save. (If the resets and RNG don't drive them insane first.....lol)
Sub 2 is just barely possible I think........pretty unlikely and would require even more insane RNG but crazier things have happened. Maybe one day I'll give it one last shot.
