Regarding splitting, I do not have much experience with this kind of stuff, so I'm ok either way I guess :)
Hi, the run was done on EGA Floppy version with ScummVM, didn't test it on other versions.
The glitch at 3:22 is the following: when the skeleton appears from the coffin, you can hold SPACE to avoid the damage from it. This would constantly switch between gobliiins and I guess the switch takes precedence over the damage trigger. You can also spam-click pickup action on an empty spot with Oups to skip the damage, but I am not sure if it's faster.
At 21:40 what happens is I leave Ignatius on the dragon spot to save a bit of time by taking damage, i.e. normally you would move him away, but I switch to Oups immediately to pick up the seeds. The glitch here is purely visual, I guess it happens because the game needs to play animation for a certain gobliiin, but another gobliiin is selected. This provides no benefit by itself, just looks kind of funny I guess.
I also do spam-clicking to speed up the movement, but this was already mentioned before I think.
I'll add the first one to guides, not sure if the second one should be.
Oh, I totally missed your comment. I didn't tweak much in ScummVM besides some aspect ratio settings to better fit the recording setup. Maybe it's the ScummVM version that makes a difference, mine is 2.9.0. Regarding the PC, I have a Asus TUF gaming F15 laptop, but not sure how to measure the performance between mine and yours :)
Ooooh nice trick with the positioning, congrats! I should try it as well probably :)
This is EGA DOS version run with ScummVM. GOG pack has VGA version I think. Not sure if there are any differences besides the graphics and sound.
It's not mentioned in the manuals I think, I just tried all the buttons randomly, hoping something will work, and it did :) Sadly the later Goblins games do not have any shortcuts, or at least I wasn't able to find any.
Yes, there are shortcuts: ESC to open the menu, F1 to load. Also SPACE to change between gobliiins.
