Okay, fine. So let's assume he has done it twice, because the best I can do as a member of this community is assume due to the lack of communication.
First off, in my opinion a perma-ban is extremely harsh considering the circumstances here. I'm assuming the offence we are referring to here is slowing down the timer. From my experience, Livesplit is so stupidly complicated that I have trouble believing that this was anything but an accident. He has also deleted the video, as you said, so he clearly doesn't want that run to be seen as legit.
Second, you have been incredibly unprofessional in this entire situation. If you hadn't accidentally verified the "cheated" run, I would have absolutely zero clue as to why Connor was banned. When a runner gets banned from a leaderboard, a moderator has the responsibility to make a forum post or something similar informing the community of the situation, and explaining why the runner was banned. Of course, the only information we as a community recieved is that Connor was banned, no questions asked.
Third, you are treating this so-called ban incredibly lightly. Connor submitted his "cheated" run, and you verified it. Whether this was an accident or not, you are still at fault for letting that run go up. Not to mention, I have seen the video, and you would honestly have to be blind to not see the slowdown. After realizing your error, you decided not to remove the run from the leaderboard, but to RETIME it and keep it up. Then you made this forum post outright banning Connor, but you used your rational thinking and kept his 2 runs on the leaderboard?
Sorry for the rant, but this whole situation really annoys me, and Connor does not deserve to be banned. Not that it would matter, because the ban isn't even being enforced.
This guy submits one run with his timer screwed up, which you initially VERIFIED by the way, and that's worthy of what I'm assuming is a perma-ban? Get real bro.
Console would still lose out massively due to the loading time in between races.
Just suggesting that perhaps PC should have a separate leaderboard from PS4/Xbone? Vorian gains about 50 seconds on me every split from load times.
35 looks like it saves at least a half a second.
There is the Mobile Speedrunning Discord which is in the sidebar, but there is no designated discord for Data Wing AFAIK
There should be a 'notify me when a topX run is posted' or something similar, with X being chosen by the user, so that I can get notified when a top 5 or top 10 run gets posted instead of just wr, top 3, or in general. Perhaps an option to get notified when a run is under a specified time would also be useful.
Similar thing happens on Sea Change (if I remember correctly)
Maybe I'm missing something, but where do you see that emulator is banned?
Thanks ;) Although Quaristice already technically has a sub 22 :) :) :)
That's super unfair towards you though. The game may get so optimized that there is zero possibility of you even coming close to the record.
Just did some calculations, and assuming that my game runs at 4.95/5s, Hades' runs at 4.85/5s, and with some major assumptions that Quaristice's runs at 4.55/5s (it doesn't stay like that), then I have a 22:43.527, Hades has a 22:22.286, and Quaristice has a 21:57.17, so actually he would have WR. My methods: https://imgur.com/CmOfF52 Also, I just got a 22:09.41 earlier, and using the same assumptions, it actually is a 21:56.116. So this is a major issue. We are going from 2 times almost 2 full minutes apart and in reality they end up almost within a second of one another.
