Recording in an Arcade can be difficult, especially if you didn't expect to run into a machine. (It's easier now than ever but that is a fairly recent tech change). Video proof is always ideal but since one cannot fake an arcade time / score, photos are acceptable.
Hello SonicAnim,
Yea, you're welcome! As the original releases and other lightguns do not have the option for a reticle, I would be firm in saying runs with a lightgun cannot have a reticle. I've struggled with TC calibration on the Playstation as well (one of the reasons I don't run it) so I feel your pain!
Until you are able to record yourself playing, you can always submit to the Arcade Emulation w/ Lightgun category. Using a foot pedal is definitely slower than a button and a unique skill so I don't think it's fair to judge that against pressing a button the lightgun.
Thanks for your understanding and I hope we can see some new PBs in the future!

Hey SonicAnim,
Nice run, congrats! Is there a way to have future runs not have the reticle present if you are using a lightgun? This is an advantage other lightgunners do not have. Additionally, it would be ideal to have a video of you playing if you are using a pedal. If possible, I think we'd like to see the whole set-up (i.e. screen, gun, and pedal). I am okay with approving this one but it will be in the Arcade section since you are using a foot pedal. Happy to discuss further on here or on Discord!

Hello Ellimist,
Thanks for this info! I made some adjustments so it should allow you to submit now!
Hello Ellimist, Totally, are you using a mouse or a lightgun? Just do your best to ensure the game is running at the appropriate speed!
Hey RedElectro0, This is definitely running more accurately than your last submission. I don't think the stuttering had any real effect on the outcome of the run (it certainly doesn't help you overall). If this were a WR, I don't think we could accept due to the lost fragment. However, I am willing to trust this is an honest run until there is reason to otherwise. Ideally, when you drop time and submit again, there would not be any errors or broken segments. Nice run and good luck on future ones! - Matt
Are you just missing frames or low framerate? The game looks like it's running physically slower, not just low FPS.
Yeah sorry, this is too slow to accept. Hopefully you can find a solution. If you need help, maybe reach out to Planetaryashes for advice to get it running properly.
weird that is doesn't give you 100% accuracy but tbh 0.00% is even better.
I think you just need to hold down space bar while pressing forward and it will allow your character to climb on top.
You'll have to give me more info on this as I'm not very familiar with Auto-clickers.

Is this essentially 'turbo' for mouse clicks? Are there other advantages?
-
What is the goal here? Is this accessibility-related? Or for ease of faster times?
My initial feeling is any runs compared against another should have the same or very similar variables affecting the end result so if an auto-clicker provides a clear advantage, it should be a separate category. I think in the case of TCII, it certainly does (less so with TC or TC3).
That should be okay, provided the file has not been edited or enhanced in any way. Good luck on the runs!

I have heard of the DX version of TCII Arcade but have never seen one! Pretty incredible. Nice run, I'm jealous.
I wonder if this was a WR back then? Too bad the vid doesn't have the saved list of scores just to see what times were present.
Yep, you're on the board @BOSSCAT! Running on controller is tough so nice work.
Hello santopotter,
There's been a lot of success with that category on TCII so I think it makes sense to have it for TC3 as well. Give us some time to make the categories. Feel free to submit a run under the wrong category if one doesn't exist. GL on the runs!
MR
Currently, there are no rules against continues! Generally, you suffer a time loss on getting hit, with exceptions to a couple of points (like the first sequence of the boss in 2-3). Continuing does clear the current area for you but hard to imagine saving time in this regard unless the hits are taken at points where the game moves on during the damage animation.
I'll second Don here: there was no doubt that your run was not legitimate. It was just a matter of finding the proper category out of fairness for you and others!
Thank you for your work on emulating these great games!
Sorry for the delay here, I have applied the fix and everything is now under a variable category in the Arcade seciton.
Since no other mods have dropped in, I am inclined to say it's a separate category. I'm gunna double check the timing before making the move but should be completed in the next day or two!
