That was exactly what I needed to change. After fixing that, the trick consistently works for me now. It's weird to know that even the NPCs you influence before resetting can affect RNG. Thank you!

Hi, I'm getting into speedrunning for the first time, so I've started with Pokemon Red. I'm following instructions based off of Exarion's any% glitchless guide. He references a video that shows the exact inputs and position needed to manipulate rng for a perfect Nidoran. I've followed the inputs in the video, but I still can't get the Nidoran. I'm using Gambatte at the moment, but I've also tried BGB. Can someone help me figure out how to get this manipulation to work? Thank you for your time.
