Rev A loads faster on levels as it doesn't fade after level transitions. People can use whatever they want but I d not feel adding load times is a good solution unless there is a discrepancy between someone on cart and console. Also locking this thread as my most recent post obsoletes this thread.
Hello everyone, today there has been a development regarding loading times between the revision a and standard versions of the game. Revision A actually seems to play the transitions faster as the fadeout is nonexistent and it splits straight to gameplay. This means that standard carts are only useful for playing the two games that Rev A can't play- Jigsaw and Alfred n the fettuc. Cart will not matter in Billybob or Ooze due to the current split in categories. I am adding a choice to state the version, however, for now we will NOT be splitting categories. I hope this makes sense to everyone

Hello everyone! I hope you all have been enjoying speedrunning Action 52 lately. If you look at the leaderboards, you will notice that not all 52 games are listed. The reasoning behind this is to prevent empty game leaderboards. We will, however, be more than happy to add any game or category as soon as a run is completed. To submit a run of a game you have two different options: 1) Join our discord at https://discord.gg/3ZGvvPm and submit under the #runs category OR 2) Simply make a post with the video to your run below. As for the validation of new categories, we prefer to have a discussion with the mods either here or on the discord before officially adding it. Necessary categories (such as in Billybob and Ooze due to crashes) will automatically be added as long as there is a completed run in any category. I hope this all makes sense and good luck!
So just out of curiosity what do you all think is a good time needed for video verification? I feel for any% a good threshold would be sub 25. What do you all think? Just want to make sure it's fair for everyone
I'm going to be honest, the whole timing thing was discouraging for me. But it's up to you guys to determine what's best. I'm going through that with Battle for Bikini Bottom as I play on gamecube and they just tell me those who want record play on xbox. I think that approach is a bit harsh but honestly I think in the end we shouldn't care about loading times. We should just play to get good times and have fun while doing it. As speedrunners we shouldn't have to debate over the games we love. I'm fine with any changes you guys decide to make. I don't care about WR, I just love seeing games optimized and if someone asks me who has WR I'm going to say it's you walrus because you have a much more clean run than me.
I am addicted to Lester and I plan to run all of the categories one day. As of now any% is my main focus. All extra categories besides any% and 100% are listed as misc. I also believe that there is no incorrect way of playing a game, so having lots of categories is never wrong unless it is done in a dosorganized fashion. I apologize if the layout of the page seems sloppy or disorganized. If you are interested in this game I'd be more than happy to help :)

Also for any new runners if you are looking at a run to learn things from please do not look at my 15:53 run. That run has many very high risk very low reward strats that are not safe for a race. If you want a good run either look at my 16:29 or Rat's PB and her AGDQ run.
Nice!!! I'm glad to see more interest in Lester! The game is pretty easy to learn. It only took me like 2 says to originally learn a basic route
