No one called you a racist. Being a non-racist doesn't qualify you to use the word "N", and neither does using it with reference to a white person. If someone called another person "white boy" in the way that you described above, it would be just as disrespectful.
I only play games for speed :D
Speed running is what has gotten me back into gaming, after 10+ years of finding video games boring.
A couple games that I am still initially playing before running are Not The Robots and Revenge of Shinobi, if that counts ;)
Yeah, OTS!
It's my fav game, too. I don't run it yet, but the community is awesome.
Obvious choices:
Kirby Mario Rock Man Sonic: The Hedgehog Zelda
Soccer isn't corrupt because of FIFA. FIFA is corrupt because soccer is a billion-dollar industry. It would be just as corrupt, if not more so, without FIFA. The reason that the management model of speed running (SRC) works is because the communities are small and manageable. With that said, we still need site mods and admins to deal with particular situations.
As for the soccer example, it should also be noted that FIFA is an international organization. National leagues are managed by their own, individual organizations.
Being pissed off has nothing to do with other people. It is not another person's obligation to avoid pissing you off. If you get pissed off about something, then it is your fault for being pissed off. It's a personal issue.
Yeah, great game, and great suggestion. The only thing keeping an average run around that time seems to be RNG.
Haha, thanks for the freebie:
in with the Mystery Men cameo! I've never seen this video until now. Wow, and thanks for another illuminating post!
You didn't "simply" point out those things. You stated those things along with some passive- and outright-aggressive fluff.
You didn't mention that he may have done it "to piss you off", and it doesn't matter. If he was being malicious, then you should be the better person and try to sort it out in a sensible manner.
You are doing dumb things by creating threads like this.
You don't need to explain what he may or may not have done, because it doesn't matter. Regardless of what he may or may not have done to you, there is no reason for you to take action in the way that you have. If you truly feel that Strawberrymilk has wronged you (harassed you, etc.) in any way, then you should report his actions to the site mods, talk to Strawberrymilk, or stop purposefully putting yourself in positions where you know you will be particularly visible and in direct contact with him. None of those things involve making passive-aggressive posts in a public forum.
No one is sticking up for Strawberrymilk. No one is trying to incriminate him, either. You are being a jerk, and people are responding to your actions here.
There are plenty of full games that meet Dino's criteria. However, IL's could be worth investing time in, as they can eventually be put together to form a complete and longer-than-ten-minutes run. The problem for someone who wants to actively post runs is that not all games include IL boards.
By the way, Dino, are you interested in games that are just slightly longer, in the 10-15min range?
He knows that the game isn't out. He's asking if a board can be made for it, even though it hasn't been released, which can't be done.
You're not :D
It's Jenny! Hello!
I like your userpic.
Those are actually pretty cool.
Part of the fun that I have while watching speed runs is the "omg will they make it?!" moments. Maybe it's just me, but those skips are interesting.
The border rule is a good one! I'm going to start submitting emulator runs with a border, just for personal transparency.
Way to bait me into a thread that I thought would be about cats (meow) ;)
Haha, thanks
There are better videos, if you want a real tutorial. I was just trying to show what it is :D
And if that doesn't make sense in words, here is a not-so-helpful-but-hopefully-at-least-somewhat-demonstrative video:
I should have mentioned that you can still see your entire desktop, and OBS will selectively capture what you have chosen, and in the way that you organize it within OBS. So, no matter how you move your windows around outside of OBS, they will stay formatted within OBS. Sometimes, weird things will happen like the black square, but it usually takes a restart of the source or re-doing the adding of the source in OBS. For example, re-sizing livesplit on your desktop confuses OBS until you re-add livesplit in OBS.
It's much more intuitive than I'm making it sound. Hopefully I don't sound as confusing as I think I do.
haha, 50 hours :P
It's funny how 50 hours really is a lot, but then you see people on steam with hundreds and thousands of hours and wonder about life :D
