fair point. my apologies.
regardless, even if we were to separate emulator/console as a whole i personally don't see a big enough difference between the two to justify doing so. playing on ps2 emulator does not give a significant enough advantage opposed to using a console. I think Timefreaks and SMGs multiple sub 2-hour any% runs on PS4 could back that up
Top 3 Emulator Times:
1:42:50 (timefreak 3 months and 6 submissions after switching to emulator)
1:44:54
1:47:45
Top 3 Console Times:
1:56:20 (timefreak)
1:58:13
2:06:06 (a 7 year old run !)
the fact of the matter is PCSX2 is the most accessible option for many people, doesent give a significant advantage, and doesent require a capture device to record a run. i don't see how any amount of frame drops or load times could equate to the minutes difference between the two.
I cant speak for other Rockstar games but it seems like most part they are separated into PC/CONSOLE not EMU/CONSOLE. this would make sense as there are tricks that work on PC that do not work on Console (The Warriors never got a PC port so its exempt from this).
The only one that DOES have emulation separate is Bully (Which i think is PRETTY silly considering the guy with the best any% time has both fastest IGT AND Real time by minutes and he's sitting in a leaderboard by himself.)
replacing the extra categories with (Any% PS2 Solo) (Any% PS2 Co-op) (Any% PS2 Emu Solo) (Any% PS2 Emu Coop)(Any% Xbox Solo) (Any% Xbox Coop) (Any% PS3 Solo) (Any% PS3 Co-op) (Any% PS4 Solo) (Any% PS4 Co-op) (Any% PS5 Solo) (Any% PS5 Co-op) is still cluttered (if not more so). PCSX2 has OSD messages whenever the memory card is written to/speed hacks are activated. I understand where you're coming from as most every console/emu has unique load times, but there is no current evidence to prove that ps2 emu actually loads faster than any other official platform. The only platform we have solid proof for is Xbox Emulator (and it is rightfully banned). I think a more realistic option is to have a conversation about removing load times from submissions, but that would take a bit more communication and work from both the players and the mods.

Hi! there are a few in the game I run The Warriors. These are links to VoDs but if you are interested I can upload just the skips themselves no commentary/music :) (this is a pottymouth game)
Chatterbox Jump: You are supposed to throw items at the boss until he takes enough damage to come down and then you would beat him/make him run into the cart to finish the level. This is me skipping phase 1 with a precise jump and then quickly getting him hit with the cart.
Virgil Jump: You are supposed to throw items at the boss until he takes enough damage to leave the room, you follow and phase 2 starts. This is me skipping phase 1 with precise platforming followed by a jump. Since I follow him through the boss entrance his AI doesn't activate for phase 2 so i also skip phase 2 by dropping his health low enough to trigger phase 3.
Birdie Skip: This is a newly found glitch that lets you eliminate the majority of the RNG in this fight. Usually you are at the mercy of your teammate AI but by avoiding the boss trigger and dropping a item nearby you only have to hit the boss 2 times opposed to hitting him 5 times and waiting for the AI to hit 3 times. This video is edited to be the best case scenario for RNG with no missed throws so even though it only shows 5 seconds faster any missed throw from the AI loses you about 2/3 seconds per throw
The game I help moderate (The Warriors) is going to start allowing Parsec runs to allow players to play co-op online but we want to let the same person be on the board multiple times as long as they have a different partner. Is this possible? For example 1st: A+B 2nd: B+C 3rd: A+C
