Feel free to make a skype group, that's np.
I should have hopefully responded to everybody. Sorry about the delay! I will be semi-not around for the next 10ish days, so if you have something urgent, please tweet to me.
Anymore questions for the event guys, let me know. I will be trying to get the specifics of the camping soon.
Apologies for the list here not being updated. All of your names should be with Insomnia though, so the important part is still there.
Will update now.
Len, my post earlier already says the schedule will be out about a week before the event.
Stream can run from 10am-12am Friday/Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sunday. Because these hours are pretty good, I won't be stressing out about the schedule. I'll probably put it out a week-ish before the event with your restrictions in mind
Alright, some answers for you guys:
Camping is only open on Thursday to early-bird BYOC people and to crew/exhibitors. That means that Planks and I are able to get the early camping and access to setup, but the rest of you cannot unless you pay for the early-bird BYOC. I have been told that if Planks and I share a car journey, then those people are OK to come in with us too but it's a blind-eye kind of thing.
The rest of you can enter from Friday at 10:30am. Clearout is on Monday at 1pm.

Parking we have to find out about. Planks and I are getting free parking but they need to double check regarding the rest of you.
For +1s, it's as I said before. If you're not actively running a game or helping with tech or something with us, then you'll need to buy a ticket for that person. If your friend is happy to work for it, I might be able to have them as a volunteer but I can't make any promises.
We don't have a number limit right now. I've suggested about 20-25 people with dropouts and it sounds like that number is no problem.
We can stream to any twitch channel we want. We're not sure what we're going to use yet. Maybe the ESA channel or maybe use TSSB or a personal channel we have access to.
So you all know, Phil and Dan (our contacts) work for Multiplay directly so I can't contact them until office hours on Monday, so dw about delays!
@Twiggy - yep saw it. Have added you on.
@Mango/Karl - Like, I'm not hugely sure on this. My guy at multiplay will be around again tomorrow so I can ask him that. I'll let you know what he says, but I'm leaning towards the commitment being somewhat strong.
@Unicorn - Parking isn't confirmed free yet, but I have asked.
Free entry is for those taking part in the event directly, so either running or organising the event. We get the tickets and camping spots as free invites so we can really give them out to +1s, sorry. Info about pricing and camping and so on are here. I imagine this could end up being confusing with them paying and you not, so feel free to ask more about this.
About streaming Friday, if we can stream then, it will be runs.
@Henneko_ I'll find out when our deadline for entrants would be.
@Kitty - sorry, the detour to you would take longer and cost more money than I'd save.
Just to say Twiggy, we are not part of the BYOC LAN. We don't have a ticket to join into that section of the event. That's a separate thing from us. We get our own corner for speedrun stuff, we don't get a LAN seat so don't worry, you haven't wasted cash! You're welcome to come hang out with us and do a run if you want.
I should've contacted everyone back now and can confirm what Planks has said is all accurate.
I'm working on confirming the times, but this is how it is as far as I know (this may change so don't take this as gospel)
Friday - Arrival day. I'm sure that people setting up will need to be there earlier while the rest of you can come in later. I'm waiting on good times for this. We will probably stream this day. Sat/Sun - full days of streaming and running the speedrun section. Monday - clearout day.
If I've missed any questions, just shout!
Insomnia 55 28th-31st August
Alrighty, so I (flicky) have been asked to sort out a speedrun event at the upcoming insomnia festival on the second August bank holiday! It will be similar in style to the Dreamhack events but as it is only our first outing, it will be considerably smaller in scale initially. Here’s the key information:
Free entry and camping spot for attendees Scheduled speedrun stream from 10am-12am each day Our own area with space for sofas and casual setup At the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. Free parking? You don’t have to run something to come!
As it’s small, there’s not a whole lot to it. I need to get interest from you if you wish to come so I can give your information to the ticketing people who will give us free entry (assuming that will be on arrival). Simply give us a game, estimate and your information (real name, id, etc) and that’s all we really need. If you don’t know how to contact me otherwise, just email me: flicky@europeanspeedsterassembly.com
We can capture basically everything single screen. We won’t be able to do races or anything that’s more than one setup. Planks is doing tech and we only have one setup for that.
As we have our own space for the casual setup, please bring CRTs, screens, consoles etc so we can have our fun on the side.
Please pass this around through word of mouth and send it on to anyone who may be interested in coming! This is open to anyone from any country (even Wales).
Ask as many questions as you want. I will be keeping all of them in this document. (I’ll admit I have no idea what people need from these docs anymore, so forgive the bare bones nature of it. This is absolutely happening and much more serious than my blasé doc makes it seem!) You can post in this thread too.

European Speedster Assembly 2015 is a speedrunning centered community meetup and marathon. The doors are open from the afternoon of June 26th until noon July 7th. The stream will be running between June 28th until July 5th.
This thread serves to collect all key information and threads into one place.
Attendee Guide
In order to make the event easier for new and experienced people we have written out a simple guide for our attendees once you are at the event. For all pre-event information, please check everything in the Master Thread.
Venue Information
The first and most important thing is once you've arrived at the train station, is getting to the House of Culture. All you have to do, is cross the round and enter the Valhall entrance. There is a picture below. It is literally opposite the main entrance/exit of the train station.
Once inside, head down the hallway, take your first left then a right and you will be in the main hall. You can practice your route to the main hall on Street View - Turn left at the bench.
Find one of the following people who will hand you an entry and, if applicable, a mass housing bracelet and give you any extra info about the venue, surrounding area and anything else! If you can't find one of them, ask someone else there. Everyone in the building will be part of ESA, so don't worry about it.
These people will be: flicky, Alko, MLSTRM and Suzy
If you are running a game or volunteering at this point you will be given information about that too. We will also take a photo of you or take a phone number in case we need to find you. Please ask as many questions at this point as you want to. We're happy to help out!
Aside from that for general attendees, you should put a copy of this map on your phone, just in case.
Runners and Commentators
As said above, you will be given extra information at the event itself, but you should also make sure you're at least somewhat familiar with the process before you get there.
As runners you are free to take priority over others on any setup you need. If people are playing casual games on a setup that you need for practice, you have the right to kick them off. If you don't feel comfortable doing so, just ask one of the staff above and they can happily do it for you. People know you have priority so don't feel bad about it!
For your runs, you should be available 45 minutes before your run with your console, controller and game! (we are being strict on this!). Make sure you have contacted the tech in the streaming areas in plenty of time. They will explain what is required of you - we will be directing you around with goal of keeping on schedule, so don't expect to show the credits. Once your run is done, you will have a very small window to wrap up anything and shout out to friends before we will move you on. If you have a special donation incentive to show off, please make sure tech are aware of this beforehand and reset quickly before showing it off. Feel free to ask tech if they need any help and to keep checking if you are ready to go with them. Be active! If you see a run has ended or you are waiting for a run to start, please approach the crew and make sure they know you are ready to go. Don't go and sit in the crowd or leave!
If your game times until after credits, we will have to regrettably cut the timer before then and finish on final hit, in the interests of saving time. If your game times from console on, what's wrong with you? Wow, time from start of the game like everyone else.
Mass Housing
Those of you in mass-housing will be shown to the venue in a group at some point shortly after arriving. You will be free to leave clothes and such items at the mass-housing. Gaming equipment and so on can be safely left at the House of Culture. We suggest you mark such items.
The mass housing for a majority of the event will be at Kavelbro Gym, here.
We'd like to remind everyone that the mass housing will be open to all attendees for the first two days and will be at the House of Culture. As we had no requests for female-only areas, there will be no area for that.
Aside from that, everything you need should be explained to you at the venue. You will be introduced to all the staff and so on who will be able to help you. Feel free to bug any of them at anytime. You may get passed on to a different one (breaks are important!) but don't worry about it!
That might be pretty hard for us to do. We moved Metal Slug two weeks ago. Did he only just ask for the time off or something?
We can try and move it, but we really would've appreciated being told before.
Just incase you guys miss it, the tournament finals are now on Saturday on the schedule.
Last draft is finished. This will be the final schedule used for the event unless there is some form of required change.
You may have noticed the colours for the estimates. We are trying to fix some of the more in-accurate estimates. As we said at the start of the event, we wanted the estimates to be used as target times for the run and not to include setup. As such, if your estimate is red if means that it's way too safe. If you estimate is magenta, it means it's too tight. Please update us with estimates and contact people you know who are marked. We'd really like to get these sorted. There will still be setup/tech buffers so don't worry about taking that into account.
Our fancy-pants schedule should be available soon too.
---------Change Log----------

Cut fancy pants adventure - runner hasn't paid, haven't been able to contact him.

Last schedule update will be soonish. There's nothing major that will be changed, so we're not a real hurry to get it out asap.
I'll be bringing my stick too. It's a qanba so it's dual-modded.
Hosting guide is up, everyone who said they were interested has been listed! You'll be contacted at some point!
Just thinking about it, the more setups people can bring the better. If it's not too much trouble Charleon or anyone else, bring some monitors and that!
@MizterConfuzing - We don't really reject or accept anybody, you do as much of the work as you want to do. Whether you want to come or not is entirely up to you.
We have updated the schedule and made the following changes:
Removed (on request):
Contra: Hard Corps Portal Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage Sonic Battle
Added (because we somehow missed them last time): Mario Kart 64 Alex Kidd In Miracle World Rayman 3 Tony Hawk's Underground 2
Amazing Princess switched with Secret Ties and Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
Ty/Jak/Sonic Heroes/Crystal Chronicles/Battle switcharoo.
Batman: Arkham Asylum switched with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Dust: An Elysian Tail moved forward.
Talos Principle & NightSky/Sands of Time & Warrior Within/Ratchet & Clank cycled.

An American Tail: Fievel Goes West moved to the 3rd - games around then moved slightly.
Mega Man Powered Up moved forward.
Dark Witch moved to the other stream.
God of War 1 & Forgotten Sands stay where they are. Sorry guys!
Also! You might notice that some of the runner names are red. That means they haven't paid yet (according to the public list we have) or are in the same cell as someone who hasn't paid. So please check and make sure to pay in time, thanks!
