Yeah but the problem was that I would either bonk my head on the overhang or be jumping too close to the flagpole. I just gave up on it and finished the run cause I couldn't get FFPG to work either but I might come back and revisit it sometime.
Thank you both! RAM watch especially helps a lot for TASing. I didn't know about that before.
Well yes, I know what framerules are/how they work and all that. What I'm asking is if you're looking at a run, how would you tell at the end of the level exactly how many frames behind the next fastest framerule you are? Like, is there a certain point in the level transition that the waiting frames get applied?
I've looked into this for a while, but I can't find anything. Could someone explain how to figure out how many frames need to be saved in a level to save another framerule?
Ohhhh I forgot about that trick. I'll give it a try and see if it works. Thanks!
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I couldn't find anywhere better. I'm working on TASing a hack, and I can't quite figure out how to do flagpole glitch in one of the levels. I'm starting to think it might not be possible here, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas on how to do it. Here's a video showing what the end of the level looks like:
