And This is how an Any% Evil Run would look like:
I was wondering what else there could be instead of Any%. 100% is hard to define and even harder to evaluat for the mods. But a seperate category for Evil Ending would make sense in my opinion.
What is the difference?
you either need to get in conflict with Dawn or with Baccata, or both. HOWEVER: due to the squence breaks shown by Spec on his Good-Ending run, there is a possibility to get the Evil-Ending without having to kill neither Dawn nor Baccata.
So, you say, 'What is the big difference?' well, you need to kill Anu (Draracle) after defeating Belial. And as Anu is even more difficult than Belial you would need more ressources for that final battle, and therefore some rerouting.
I plan to create a quick and dirty Evil-Ending run to showcase the differences.
Then again: what do you think? would it be different enough to give it its own category?
AllBosses?
One more thought: AllBosses would changes things up even more, as one would have to fight:
- Baccata
- Belial Statue
- Dawn
- Scotia (killing Dawn won't award you the neckless)
- Belial
- Anu
Oh wow! SpymasterCosades your site inspired me to make a Evil-Luther playthrough. Which then motivated me to do a speedrun. Generally this site has a ton of usefull info. And as far as I know only a handful of things are not mention. Really great work! <3
I used the same strats as Spec, but my time is garbage ^^
However I could give some inside to the skips Spec found/used. Eventhough i don't really understand why catching a the axe-of-the-long-arm or the empty-hand-dagger allows the player to briefly clip into walls.
The elevator skip on the other hand uses the fact that briefly clipping into the wall reset your falling distance, and therefore the insta-kill falling height is never reached.
Anyway: still waiting for the run to be approved, but if someone is interested: here is the link.
