Oh, I didn't understand your question at first. It can be any one of the three save files. I guess the mode is just stored globally and only changed when you press one of the buttons
Edit: I think it should be called the "Fresh Hardcore" glitch. Reverse is redundant pretty much (it is called Fresh Expert Glitch in cuphead speedrunning)
I don't even think it has to be a new save file. I think you can do this for any save file regardless of completion
(not sure if I'm the first to notice)
If you select either reverse/hardcore modes in an existing save file and then start a new game, the mode will stay the same even though it hasn't been unlocked (a similar thing can be done in cuphead where you select the expert mode).
Maybe a hardcore run from the start is possible? I haven't tried, but theoretically it is
I edited my reply and I don't think you saw it: https://www.frankerfacez.com/emoticon/262468-WeirdChamp

preference, it's really not important - a lot of people dont put in their actual info there, e.g some put nepal, the vatican, north korea, etc, and some dont put anything there at all
If I wanted a leaderboard for a demo version of a game, how 'substantial' should it be? As in, how long of a speedrun/how much content? If you get what I mean; I understand the question is quite opinion based arbitrary, but would a run of about 2 minutes be accepted? I assume not, but 5? 10? etc; I know that Deltarune got accepted even though it's technically a demo.
I guess I'm just unclear on the site's stance on "demo's" in general.
Instead of splitting up the IL difficulties using subcategories, maybe split them using categories. That way, we can see all the WRs for every difficulty from the "view all" button instead of having to click into each level. Also, I personally don't like the names Story% and Stage%, maybe replace them both with Any%? Just my suggestions!
sorry about that, i didnt realise the res was so bad (had to bump bandicam now cause shit pc). the next one i submit will have that same problem too, unfortunately ):
why would that matter? you'd see the mode i played it on by the gameplay itself, no? and if the timer isn't shown that means there's only one possible time it could be, the best time
so if i were to submit a run where the timer didn't show, then show my best time, would you count it? if for example i didnt record my best time on accident
edit: also i think there's a mistake on my level 1 run, it should be 620 milliseconds not 062 my b
Why does it show up sometimes, and doesn't appear the other times?
@klbyte Why doesn't this run https://www.speedrun.com/deltarune/run/mr8rjj8y show up on the Deltarune True Pacifist NG+ wr history? Out of curiousity - I can assure you that it was wr when originally posted (serviced by the description). The src WR history had the same issue
Ran this for fun lol. Don't think it would fit for a board but wanted to share this anyways
It's to prevent board sniping
