Because you have a run in SMB1, it's likely there's a setting that you have enabled along the lines of "notify me when my run gets beaten" or something
Gonna re-bump the SOB suggestions for IL boards, having both an individual SOB leaderboard and a community SOB (which I would imagine would be individually toggleable) would be awesome. I think an individual SOB leaderboard would encourage people to improve their PBs across the board rather than just gun for IL wrs. Cheers
a horrible idea? i dont think thats the case. i think it was just unfortunate that this had to happen.
"may be" "a requirement is reasonable"
Notice the vague wording. Basically saying, if the moderators of a game WANT to have such rules, they are allowed to have them and it makes sense to. Otherwise, it's completely fine to submit a run like that. Many communities that I participate in are fine with it and have many such runs.
I agree ^^ that use case is exactly why the filters / variables were made.
I would verify the runs submitted if they follow the rules of the verified category. I'd only put it to other categories if:
- the user submitted to those as well, or
- the run breaks the rules of the category submitted to but fits the rules of another (if in doubt I'd ask the runner)
I get it, without checking the forums first it can be concerning to see this. Probably just trying to help
From the outside perspective, it seems like no staff ever really seem to respond to the thread unless there's a big discussion (last time was a month ago and that was about one thing), many of the smaller cool features seem to go unnoticed. But if they are, okay, I was just asking
Honest question, are the ideas that are posted there seen by the higher-ups and at least considered to be added/changed? I see so many good ideas there but it seems like the thread is wasted, I understand that there is way too much feedback to respond and evaluate each piece but I just wonder if the thread actually serves a purpose, if you know what I mean.
The only thing i can think of is to make sure you're comparing against Personal Best? Also run as administrator maybe, other than that I have no idea
