TLDR: I suggest we specify in the rules that you can't use the 4 non-available cards in the game, as well as only allowing the default banlist + 1 banned card.
Recently started picking this game again, and I want to suggest some stuff so we can establish rules and agree on them.
I found out that when you get a certain percentage of cards (I think 90%) the game lets you play with one forbidden card in your deck. I propose that we can use this forbidden card in decks for Stone Seal Challengue categories, since it's a mechanic of the game and they already are kind of "NG+" categories.
On the other side I know that at the time, you could download certain stuff to the game, and some stuff you could only get it by downloading it, so I recommend we ban all of those for speedrunning, mainly because it's not available anymore (Haven't actually checked but I guess it's not available anymore since the NDS services have been down for years), a lot of these are different banlists, and there might be other ways to get it into the game but I think it's better to stick with the default banlist.
Also there are 4 cards that thecnically exist in the game, but are not available to get in-game (Not sure how you could get them other than with cheat codes, maybe they were also available for download), so I suggest we forbid these cards also: -Obelisk the Tormentor -Slifer the Sky Dragon -The Winged Dragon of Ra -Thunder King
Those are my suggestions for now, I know not a lot of people are interested in this game but I'm making this post so other mods understand the reasoning behind the rules for these categories when I add them to the leaderboard.
Also I want to ask if the method of timing for the Stone Seal Challengues is good, I think it's fine as it's easy to time, but I don't know, I came up with those years ago and I'm open to change it if there is a better timing method.
A few years ago I discovered that you can clip through the floor with pushing blocks, here is a demonstration:

I don't know if this glitch was known before, it might help in some stages but I'm not completely sure.
The way to do it is to push the block as close as possible to the wall, try to hang on the block and Yumi will fall to the floor if the block is close enough to the wall, then just press Jump and she will fall through the floor.
Worth mentioning that you can also clip with Ami, but you need to get the block in position with Yumi first.
Might seem like a weird question but, does anybody has an article or something indicating location of powerups in every stage?
I need this basically because I'm a noob, so far I've only ran 11 exit which I had no problem resetting the game every time I fail, but I'm having a bit of trouble in NSW, because I get hit in the middle of the run or worst at the end and sometimes I don't feel like resetting, so a location of powerups would be handful so if I lose the cape or flower I can just go to a near stage and get it back, I think this would be god for me to get better, at least I could complete runs once in a while until I'm actually good at it.
I know this was posted before but I believe we need more categories, namely, more character-specific runs, is there any reason why there is an "Agitha" category and not any other character? Because I'd love to run free mode with Volga-only and other characters.
Also, is there any speedrun potential for challenge mode? Haven't played them too much but they seem to be fun.
I haven't watched much of speedruns of this game but I plan on doing some runs soon, and I noticed the trend is to use Master Sword with Link. Is it actually better?
I know the first thought is "Yes obviously!" but I genuinely want to know, wouldn't a 5-star Magical Sword (or 8-bit sword) be better having the "Legendary" and "Hasty Attacks" skills? (Along with a bunch of other skills)
I ask because, maybe (MAYBE, haven't actually tried anything) even if the magical sword is slightly less powerful, the increased speed of Hasty Attacks might be beneficial for speedruns. Is there any data on what weapons are the best for runs?
