I'd think of it more like everyone is capable of unlocking everything before they start running the game but the whale adds an element where you are forced to keep restarting and then farming to boss 1 to get a boss relic for +1 energy.

Do you really want to have to restart over and over until you get the perfect item for a run?

just finished my run for submission i have 5/6 unlocks for iron clad but tbh i didnt even use them. I don't think there are any hard rules yet. Id say just enforce no whale for help.

Relics are kinda needed to go fast and they make the game better and more enjoyable to play.

I haven't attempted the a run on the current build but with first glance, there are less waves with this patch but the bosses pose a whole new world of interest as they have changed drastically. I'll need to test and take a look.

I would say this patch is faster. There a few new time wasters such as the new 2nd phase of reaper and Damien but will have to see what an optimal boss rush looks like. I'll test them with my WR demonspawn and see how long it takes.

The only way I could express any more discomfort or concern for running this game is simply by looking at the patch notes. From Nov 1 to Nov 8 there was a total of 6 different patches, some of which were minor tweaks others being drastic changes.

With that being said I'm unsure how this game could ever be run with a "fresh" leaderboard unless we all decide there is one past patch we can run that appeases the masses. The game is simply edited and modified to frequently that runs are consequently deemed obsolete.

With the addition of DLC to basic characters there would need to be 2 different sections simply being DLC and non DLC, instead of having a leader board for each character in both genres. If you have DLC and are not running demonspawn your simply doing it for the enjoyment I don't think there is another competitive character besides him when it comes to the game in general. I could be wrong someone good break the game with viking... I don't know.

So TLDR; Unifty under one patch or have an out of date board that needs to have fresh runs submitted every other week in order for there to be non obsolete runs to compete with. They love to tinker and tweak this game something fierce.

lol you should attempt to resubmit a run with the current patch i think it should take around 55:00 - 1:10:00.

Honestly I've been trying to practice specific acts and the fastest I've done act 1 is 8:56 still by far the longest section of the game.

grats glaived!. yeah i was testing with demonspawn this week seems possible i had a 17 total act 3 but i died horrifically in act 4.

Yeah, I used to think the game was possibly sub 35 mins with best possible items, pretty much impossible now. First act is at least 12 mins even if you get insane items.

I really want someone to come along and discover something because I'm pretty stumped.

to be honest this game goes through so many updates, and with the mana system changing so much i cant even run my nomad and samurai anymore. Its basically ranged with auto attack and god tier items. The minion might just give a little something to help speed it up so I might try using one see if I notice anything differnt
