If we're talking about newer releases, I really enjoyed Balatro. It’s a poker-themed roguelike deck-building game. Honestly, I'm not surprised it won Game of the Year in 2024 totally deserved.

I listen to a variety of genres in general, but my playlist is mostly filled with rock and indie. By the way, I can recommend a great band called Good Kid, their music has a pretty geeky vibe, and they even have 8-bit versions of some of their tracks, which is super fun.

I decided to give it a shot, and Minecraft seemed like the perfect first game for speedrunning since I had already spent so many hours playing it. I was familiar with all the core mechanics, but it’s still been a fun experience even though you really need some luck with the spawn.
