if EZPiig could please splice his individual scenario records into a run, that'd be a pretty good demonstration of the route
RBO sounds really hard, but it might be possible
kaeru did a run where he defeated belphegor in under 5 minutes or so using a glitch that allows you to start the game from anywhere, but that was before the recent patch
the glitch still works as far as I know tho
Routing for this category would be: Spider, reset playthrough, Locusts, Blizzard, Thunderstorm, Air Deficiency, reset playthrough, Gas, Heatwave, Razor's Gang, Fuel Deficiency, Moon Base
There could also be a True Ending version of this category, getting the true ending on the last playthrough, but that might not be necessary.
You could also possibly swap hooks in the inventory, but that's not very convenient, so...
This could be used in All Bosses, but I'm not sure as it's very RNG dependent to get.
Just a thread to come up with categories and some other stuff.
I got an idea for a category called Jewelmaster. The goal is to get every possible ring from the Jeweler’s Cabin (except the coal one, because you can’t have the coal and diamond rings at the same time).
Required rings are: -Unbreakable ruby ring -Huge diamond ring -Effluvious emerald ring -Cowseye ring -Silicon ring -Cool sapphire ring -Thaumomorphic diorite ring
cool
Side note, how do open the render distance debug menu?
I'm planning on doing a run where the goal is to collect all items in a creative tab, and I need a customizable tracker so I can keep track of what items I have, sort of like the All Advancements tracker.
Here's a TAS getting all items in the redstone creative tab:
I need tips on this, cuz I can’t ever seem to find any piglin strongholds in RSG
Also a separate account that doesn’t have any JToH save data is recommended, so if you’re going for this category, you can just create a new account (in case you don’t have an alt), or just delete your JToH save data on your alt. You can also do this with your main account with old data, but the rules from the Unlock Ring categories apply in that case.
Doesn’t really matter right now though, because the bosses aren’t out yet so… yeah
None of the bosses are out yet at the time I posted this, but I just wanted to create this ahead of time anyway.
This thread is mainly for routing and stuff, and also maybe for a potential Kill Fool’s Ring Shadow% category.
This thread probably won’t be significant for a while now, but you’re free to post theoretical routings here before the bosses come out.
Self explanatory, the goal of this category is to basically kill all the mission bosses, plus Dreadwing, Shockhopper Mk I, the Swansong, and maybe a Vault Guardian.
I’m gonna start with a couple glitches I found.
- Infinite money glitch This glitch is super easy. Basically, all you need to do is play the claw machine minigame, snag one of the biggest coins you can find, and right as the coin’s going down the chute, pause the game. Wait a bit, and, presto, you have a crapton of money. (Note: Don’t do this if you’ve caught a frog or if it just jumps into the chute, as this glitch works on frogs as well, and can cause a hell of a lot of lag if you duplicate too many frogs.)
- Tram Skip(™️) For some reason, before you start the tram, going into a certain spot above the screen will cause Hercules to appear, causing the pre-tram cutscene as normal, and then after he leaves, instead of the tram sequence starting as usual, THE WHOLE F’ING CLIFF ON THE RIGHT WILL COME FLYING AT YOU AT TOP F’ING SPEED AND LITERALLY SHATTER THE CLIFF ON THE LEFT!!!!!!!
Ok, it’s not that dramatic, but it’s a lot funnier to imagine that it is. Anyway, there are two ways to cause this glitch to happen: clipping OoB into the invisible area above the screen and walking right to the magic spot, or just using the shotgun to hit the magic spot from inbounds. Voila, you skipped a long and tedious fight sequence. (Warning: DO NOT do the tram sequence if you have SOPHIA with you and haven’t deactivated the V-Core’s security yet, as for some reason, after the tram collision, SOPHIA will disappear completely, and if you try go to the V-Core’s security terminal without her, the game will softlock where she normally has some dialogue.)
i’m so fixated on this game
Anyway, I found a few glitches that could potentially be useful, especially in a true ending run, and also an NMG strat.
This could be usable to save time in other maps, and it’s already been done speedycube’s PB of Spellbound Caves. I mainly created this thread so more uses for this glitch can be found, and I already found some possible uses in Sea of Flame II, so I’ll list them here:
-getting to Killahyouah Prime from the Halls of Flame intersection without pillaring up -getting to the top of Rageshadow from the Pink Wool Fleecy Box (don’t know if this saves time or not) -escaping the Spire Caves from the White Wool Fleecy Box (saves an ender pearl, but I don’t know if this faster than just pearling to Don’t Blow It) -getting to the White Wool Fleecy Box without pillaring up
If anyone finds any more uses in any of SH maps, just post it here.
