Like anything in speedrun, it's something you just gotta get used to and practice. I would say the most major thing that differentiates a good runner and a casual runner in this game is how fast they mind room clues. I've gotten to the point where I can tell what clue goes where in Saga's mindroom just from the top 3rd of the picture that's being shown, which over the course of the run saves countless time b/c mindrooming is such a large part of the run

If the run was more popular, I could see no intro coming into play maybe into the future. The problem is that it's not so I do agree to the point of why bloat the boards of 2-3 runners. Should the game miraculously get popular (whether that's because of the no intro) I'll change my opinion then. For now, I'd have to agree with Salad but curtiz does have a fair point.

Do we have anyone working on an ASL? I can probably get someone since a couple of us might hop over to this game

I can vouch for Nico, we were mods on Village and he's extremely quick on verifications.

I don't think rules for the timing method are set, seems to be just copied from the demo speedrun.

If I may suggest, can we do it RTA LRT (Real Time + Load Remover time) where it would be paused on pause screens and loading screens?

I don't know what people want in terms of the timer going on dialogue but there's just so much of it not sure what the consistent play is here for an ASL.

The reason for No Intro was because it was a reset heavy and intense RNG section for VOS, on the other difficulties it is actually quiet manageable hence the no intro only for VOS

Is there a difference between any of the console/PC runs? Like are there any noticeable mechanics that are different?

It's just demoralizing at the end of the day to see threads like that. Take it from me knowing most of the mods pretty well, but we're not trying to attack you or be hostile.

As a friend, I'm going to tell you if multiple people tell you you're sounding angry/hostile from multiple posts, then I have bad news for you. However, it's a teachable moment as you're not DM-ing/personally attacking some of the mods like others have been, and you're trying to do your best to challenge not only yourself and give back to the community, adding something to what a fun run is Village. All it is for you is probably just paraphrasing. Maybe take that extra sentence or one-time skim-through of your paragraph to make sure what is said is being interpreted properly. I used to have this problem too, but I would just read what I wrote aloud and find mistakes that way.

Just be a bit understanding and note that we're human too - we've thought about the process, we've discussed it, and we're always looking to improve too. We all love this game, we all love the community, so let's use these points to not generate hate but to understand the other side and be more communicating and understanding, both sides.

I need to be verifying these runs otherwise we are on the cusp of a war breaking out. I need be making sure that everyone has a run verified in the same day it's submitted so that they're able to contribute to society in a helpful manner. By making the runners worry for over 1-2 weeks, this is how the system fails b/c im making them worry.

This oversight is a failure on my part - I have submitted my resignation of the ISRC (International Speedrun Committee) in hopes that my resignation that bring peace in this dark time. May God help us all.

If your livelihood depends on your time showing up on SRC, please let me know and I'll push your time ahead of queue. I wouldn't want your family to live off potatoes and cabbage b/c I couldn't verify your run.

So I'm the mod who got his run verified literally the day I submitted. Why, you ask, because another mod was in my chat literally the whole time I streamed and was able to verify the moment I submitted it. Hopefully, this clarifies your point whether or not this was "fuckery".

I understand your possible frustration at not seeing your times being posted on the leaderboards, I get it, but being the 3rd most popular game on SRC at the moment, it's a popular category and all the mods are veteran runners. Verifying the run isn't just "oh that time looks about right lets click yes", we scrutinize every little detail including frames, audio, and whatnot to make sure people aren't cheating. I verified 10+ runs the other night (each is what, 1.5-2hours long) when I have a full time job. While I do appreciate you volunteering to be a mod, please understand that we are trying to keep things uniform on top of not only being rule-abiding as well as analytical on every submission. Even if a couple frames on missing on one part, we will discuss it with each other to make sure that nobody is cheated out of a proper ranking on SRC.

We are NOT attacking you, nor are you showing signs of favoritism. We are doing what is most efficient. The WRs that are being verified are usually run by the top streamers with the most viewers so naturally in our "off" time, we're usually watching them achieve it so we can immediately verify that their time is legitimate. Is it possible to No Duke VOS (at that point, is it even a speedrun anymore?)
