they're talking about doing it as a TA, but the run isn't really long enough to warrant TA rules, so IMO it's not neccessary
That is pretty pointless, as loads are consistent, the only thing it would do is allow 1.0 to be a viable version again, and that would probably make 1.0 the faster version. Additionally, timing loads is super tedious in a game that can't automatically time without loads. It would take the verifier(s) even longer to be able to get through runs.
same process as getting 1.0.0 but with a different cartridge. You need a 1.1 cartridge (serial number ends in 001) then factory reset switch and don't update the game. Otherwise, it can be used via a modded switch, however this is specifically not allowed on the leaderboards.
it isn't a theory, it's literally cheating. we have no way of doing infinite cap bounces in the game. our only speculation is that we need to find an infinite height glitch.
With our current knowledge: Cap wire: will likely never be skipped. In order for the Odyssey to spawn in Cascade (and to like, progress the game,) you must take the wire path to the loading zone while in the capture. Ruined wire: current best theories are that if we could get an uproot into ruined somehow we could use cframe origin warps to warp to the arena (this is proven to work), or an infinite height glitch to go up. Bowser capture: Proven with infinite cap bounces and noclip, we would need to clip through some walls and have an infinite height glitch.
1: Emulators are specifically not allowed 2: The best emulator right now (yuzu) is very very buggy still, is constantly laggy and crashes, with extremely long loads. You wouldn't be able to get a good run regardless of how good you are.
if you do runs with CRC's I'd love to race, crcless route is kinda boring tho
My best guess is that you downloaded save data. You can't have 1.3 save data on 1.0 Also, you need to make sure your cartridge isn't in the switch when you reset And I noticed you have a lot of stuff downloaded, you factory reset your switch, right?
it is available on 1.0.0, 1.0.1, and 1.1.0.
