this is something i suggested a while ago and the mods dont seem to want it on the srcom lb unfortunately. ive done a couple runs and have them on my youtube channel but i think theyre unlisted
this reason i chose this cheat as cheat mode is because it encompasses all of the important cheats. i understand though. i just hope that more people run it because its a very fun category to do in races or for memes
the reason i asked for it to be a category is that other people wont really run it if it isnt. people won't even really know that it exists. i would like to see other people run it and see higher level runners finding strats that only work in cheat mode, i wanna see the time go as low as possible. i know it sounds dumb for a stupid meme category but honestly its REALLY fun to run and having an lb for it would incentivize others to run it as well. besides, it's just a miscellaneous category, it would only really take like 5 minutes to set up and isn't really hurting anything. that's just my thoughts on it
i did a cheat mode run so please add it as a misccellaneous category. here's the run i did (i explain the rules in the beginning of the video before the run starts) the cheat code used for this run is TVSVUEIO
hell, even just making them separate categories and hiding them under miscellaneous would be fine in my opinion, but i think some kind of separation is the best solution given the current circumstances. i'll try and toy around with down the tubes and see if i can help find something to make this issue go away but right now separation seems like the best option to me. in the end, the decision is up to joe because he's really the only one with enough knowledge/dedication to the game to really deserve to make these calls. all we can do is hope to give him enough different perspectives and opinions to help him make a more objective decision that benefits everyone.
no it should not be a vote. it should be a unanimous decision by the moderators/top runners (in this case just joe) i earlier suggested sub categories because this would be the easiest thing to do. separates it so that people that physically can't disc eject has a fair chance for a good time/wr while not letting a time like joe's current wr unbeatable because of not allowing a huge time saving strat. i feel like this would be more widely accepted if disc manip was used more and saved more time but currently it's only big time save that doesn't have an rta viable work around is down the tubes. if we could find a faster rta viable skip for the bell door in DtT that doesn't use disc manip, i would personally be fine with banning it since there would be other easy and fast ways to get around all of its uses but unfortunately that's not the case. i think that separating it into subcategories would be fair to everyone until such a strat is found. it may seem a little complicated but i promise it isn't. it's just as simple as making a little checkbox on the submission forms that says "Disc Eject Used" or something and it splits runs that way. to me, this seems like both the fairest and easiest solution. and i am yet to hear any good argument against it. i get that it's just separating one small change but at high level play an entire minute makes a big deal and it's near impossible for anyone to compete with joe's current time without using it. separating it preserves the current time while letting others that can't use it still compete. if you asked me, i would personally prefer to run with disc eject, mainly because it is faster but also because the swimming section in down the tubes can eat my ass.
how about we make a no disc eject sub category for every category and call it a day

my friend did a run of the wii version, but can't submit it because the wii version isn't a supported console on the leaderboards. if this is because the wii version is too different from the 360, ps2, and pc versions, then please make a new category for any% wii but if not then please add wii to the consoles list so the run may be submitted. thanks!
it probably is faster, but it would be risky since dying on far out at all would be an instant reset

hi yes i'm not even a part of the community here but i would like to bring to your attention the new super mario 64 120 star world record by "PenileEruptor", the most epic manchild in existence. here it is: if it looks familiar, that's because it's a direct reupload of cheese05's world record video, but the description and title claim that the timer "Messed up and added a bunch of seconds" yeah this is clearly fake, so go give him hell for being a retard, i've already done what i can here have fun edit: oh yeah he also did the same thing claiming wr in 16 star, here's the video link for that one:

Hi, I don't run this game or really have any connection with the community but while playing Jak 2 casually recently, I found a glitch involving standing in a sand metal head scorpion thing's spawnpoint as it was spawning. Upon killing it, I was then unable to use my guns or hoverboard, pick up collectibles such as ammo, dark eco, health, and metalhead orbs, or even interact with lava, therefore being completely invincible. There were some more strange side effects as well, which I detailed in a video I made about it, which you can see here: I also made a tutorial detailing how to obtain the glitch which you can see here as well: (sorry if the second video doesn't work right away; it's currently processing as I'm typing all this) Not sure if this is a glitch that's already been discovered or not, but I though I would share it just in case it hadn't been discovered and could potentially be useful in someway.
