This is the list of glitches; you can not use any of these in a glitchless run of the game.
Corner Clipping / Wall Zipping - Glitch You clip into a wall using irregular behavior; therefore, this is a glitch.
Emote Clipping - Glitch This includes Dance Clipping and Laugh Clipping which clip through a wall using irregular behavior; therefore, this is a glitch.
Buffering - Glitch This includes Lag Clips and Lag Laugh Clipping where you lag your game to get an advantage using irregular behavior; therefore, this is a glitch.
Flicking - Glitch Flicking your camera isn't, but doing it for a reason is a glitch: such as in Wall Hopping and Ladder Flicking both use Flicking to clip into a wall for a short period of time to jump off of the wall; therefore, this is a glitch.
High Jumping - Glitch High Jumping is performed by running up to a wall and immediately jumping; extra height is gained by your character clipping into the wall and getting instantly pushed out, exceeding the jump limit; therefore, this is a glitch.
Post here if you have an idea for a category for the game with a video and an explanation of the rules.
Jumpless is so popular right now it needs sub-categories for different types of runs. Here are some of the sub-categories I would suggest: NMG Jumpless, 37 Icecreams, 38 Icecreams and so on for BL runs.
The reason I suggest two different amounts of icecream for the sub-categories is because to obtain 38 icecreams you have to do multiple frame perfect inputs to get the Climbing the Purple Tower Icecream. 37 icecreams can be for the people who want a challenge but not one as extreme as 38 icecreams and 38 icecreams can be for people who want an extreme challenge.
NMG Jumpless could just be a category for runs that obtain the minimum amount of icecreams possible to beat the sun.
In this speedrun you will beat the game without using W, A, S or D. It may seem impossible, but abusing the games way to gain speed it's possible.
You could do 100% without jumping. The problem is some are impossible.
You would collect every possible icecream jumpless.
in neo the climb to the top of New Neocity icecream appears around 1 second before you touch the fan icecream. If 1 second could be saved in neo, people might be able to use the glitch where the camera stays in one position during an icecream load, but Beebo can still move. using this, you might be able to save about 5 seconds
Can we have IL runs for each level, each will challenge players and give us a better Sum of Best time.
In this category you could do any glitch, but you can't do the shortcut used in the regular glitch% and the shortcut in skip% (the level 3-8 shortcut). You wouldn't be able to use this shortcut, other than that it would be a glitchless run.
Also why does the All Coins% category have % on the end? Not every category needs to have %.
In the page with world record statistics lots of times from the graphs are off or nearly off of the page. Please fix this as people won't know who used to have the world record in the maps affected. Here are the maps affected: Axoim, Flood Island, Graveyard Cliffside and Sinking Ship.
Lots of the Lost Desert runs are played on the old version. This is unfair due to the old version saving time. Even runs such as the world record are played on the old version; which gives the people who played then an unfair advantage. Please remove these runs or make a separate category for the old runs as Lost Desert is really annoying to speedrun now.
Thanks, bye.
This category would be called Jumpless Any%. You would do Any% no Sun without jumping. Anything done using the space bar is a jump.
Dives, Walking, Spin Attacking, Swimming in Water and anything else which DOES NOT require pressing the space bar is allowed. Swimming in Water does require the space bar but it isn't a jump. Jumping out of water will be a jump though.
Maybe this will be a challenging, long and fun category for people who like runs that take ages.
You can also do this with 100% but it would be the longest category ever. This would be a category which people who like really long runs would do. By the way, any impossible Icecreams to obtain without jumping you don't need to get.
I hope you like the idea of this category and add a whole new challenge to Robot 64 speedrunning.
The runs made before the in game timer are impossible to beat without perfect inputs now.
All of the old runs before the timer wait for the front door to open before they begin moving. However, after the edition of the in game timer, people now have to walk into the door before they begin moving; having an unfair 2 second time loss over old runs.
All old runs can not be beaten because of the 2 second time loss in the beginning. The only exception to this is if you get a glitch at the beginning where you spawn outside of the starting room (this glitch only occours every 1 in 100 tries). The problem is, this puts you further away from the start of the map, which means even with this glitch the old runs cannot be beaten by a human playing casually.
Therefore, Sky Sanctuary can never be beaten in a time below 45 seconds, due to the edition of the in game timer. The only possible way to get under 45 seconds is with the speed glitch which is not allowed in the glitchless category.
100% could be a different category where you beat all towers, not get all possible badges. In 100% you could beat every single tower in the game (timer is paused during loads between games).
This is Max%: You could do all towers at once in one single run (game reload time should be taken away due to different devices). You would even have to do towers such as N.E.A.T due to every badge needing to be obtained. People will even have to find the best spot to jump out of a tower so they can get the 'Get Yeeted' badge.
Max% is every single possible badge. Ones that don't count are meet Jupiter, play during the April Fools event, playing on mobile and some others which require time or anything else.
