Only one use I see is to grab a fast travel point in Sanctuary and teleport on the top of Museum. It's might doable but must be consistent

I found the fastest¤ way to open the door at the opening scene and I did the same stuff with all full audio languages and here are results:

0:20 press E to skip dialogue with Codsworth 0:22 press E on coffee and newspaper - It might be irrelevant but I did the same with all languages 0:50 wait till Codsword start talking and press E, immediately do the same with wife 1:48 pick a perks FIRST and then a name - 1 second save (depends on the PC), closing door asap and talk with wife. 2:05 wait for Codsworth to start talking, press E on him, press E on child and press E on spinning toy 2:30 go asap to the main door and wait

Kelloq quest done before, nothing else. Doing that skip you almost finish 10th of 16 BoS quest line. You have to talk to Ingram, she is on the flying ship which is not unlocked yet. No problem, after first mission from BoS you will be able to fly there by the plane. Problem is Ingram doesn't give you next quest. If someone could fix this woukld be great because if I am not wrong you don't have to go to Institute any more, except last mission but giant robot dig you a hole. That's mean you dont need to release Nick Valentine and talk with minuteman.

Not easy at all but it is beginning of the game. No big deal if we have to reset run. No gun as well but we can use vendor glitch later.

Yea, I spent lot of time to do this but item I used is not very well. I haven't got any bucket or watermelon on me unfortunately. Anyway it is about practising. I did it once before and after I found it's possible I made this video. I am pretty sure professional speedrunners will do much faster than me

Nick Valentine Rescue:

You can skip ~50% of metro station (don't know location name).

Lunch video, watch first few seconds to be familiar with the location. After that start watching from 2:30 till the end. when you falling down you have to spamming "E" button. When you gonna try to do this glitch is a possibility to move over these gear-shaper door and fall from the other side. It just depends where are you gonna land.

Yes, it is much faster by sliding to the wall, I arleady tried it

True but you can unlock him by killing him. He wont die entirely, he gonna fall on the ground, deep breathing and after few secs he gonna be peaceful and unlocked. I tried to unlock him by stealing something and it work, he start shooting at me but didn't know how to surrender (same as attack guard in Skyrim and surrender).

Anyway, as Chops said is better to release Nick Valentine first. Then you gonna follow him as long as you meet fat guy and his wife, kill them and run asap to closest exit. Nick gonna reach home by yourself but it take time. In the meanwhile you can go to Glowing Sea and find Virgil's cave. Right before radiation in Glowing Sea is power armor - you can use if necessary (you can buy as many medicaments as possible by vendor glitch and heal during the way).

I couldn't find any official information about this but when I reach a point from video above and check my pip boy (data-stat-quests): Main quests completed: 11 Institute quests: 9

Is that mean killing brother of steel and railroad guild members is quest from institute?

Hi, I am new into speedrunning but I found something interesting.

I found the way to start game from Kellog quest. I am not sure how many quest we gonna skip (main story line played onle once) but better than nothing.

Information doesn't show on video: played on tgm (god mode). Found room chains on the door and I am inside this room (I can see these chains). Grab a bucket and used flying glitch. Just ask if you have any other questions.

I am gonna try to find more quest skippers but this is what I have atm

Edit: we cant start this quest without using glitch because elevator doesn't work (we need a quest to unlock it)

You posted 4 months ago and still nothing? That's sad because I really like this game but AoE is not speedrun friendly. This really could work. I know 99.99% runs are about to beat game ASAP but other games have custom categories as well, like Skyrim - get marriage ASAP.

In my opinion this is only way to bring some new players here.

My point of view is completely different than SiFly. Lets make this run completely based on RNG. Make standard settings, player pick standard map and civ (must be 1v1) and make run begin. No one will complain about custom maps (why no Black Forest, why wood is so far, etc.). Wonder Race is really quick, 12-13 mins real time on fast speed so you can do it over and over again.

I know some people would disagree with Wonder race on water maps or even nomad but I think it's good idea. That's gonna make run more complicated - more possible ways to do it. For people who doesn't like water maps we can make sub-categorries based on map so people can compare their times on that one specific map.

Edit: Maybe all maps is too much at the beginning but make at least all different type maps: Arabia - king of the maps Islands - pure water map with no connection to enemy BF - only one all visible map Nomad - No TC start Arena - maps with walls maybe Yuca (tons of food)
