A world record would be nice :^)
But more importantly I would like to be consistently happy, move out of my parents' place, and get a job/income so I can feel more free in life.
Vigilante/paramedic/firefighter/taxi/pimping/burglary does not change save file name and I'm 95% sure courier doesn't either.
If any of you who defend this Leaderboard change where are your runs on the leaderboard? The only people who can be taken serious in this fourm are the following
Who cares? This isn't something like the ginput thread where randoms that don't run the game tried to brigade the vote. This has mainly been taken up with members of the community that actually run the game.
get BTFOed brainlets
:(
There is already a place that the runs are found so I don't see a reason to add the category. But I don't run the game so who cares what I think.
Amazing how a simple discussion thread can blow up into a flame war wew lads.
Found Twitch in 2015, found my favorite game (GTA: San Andreas) realized it could be speedran, realized I hated the speedrun for it, realized there were other GTAs, played GTA 3, fell in to speedrunning it.
Crashing through the bridge saves time (due to not having to drive down and around the store) but you run the risk of flipping your car or crashing into one of the fences that is there, either losing more time or failing the mission.
I only run GTA 3, so I can't help with speedrunning SA, but I use: WASD for driving/moving Enter for camera change LShift to sprint (and honk) Space to jump(and handbrake) Caps Lock to look back (on foot) and sub-mission Q+E for looking left and right MMB to look backward RMB to aim and LMB to shoot Scroll wheel to change weapons on foot (and scroll up to change radio in a car)
Because the rules state to "Finish the taxi submission", doing 50 fares in SA counts as finishing the taxi submission. So just do what is required for each game.
Both are not wrong in this case, because milliseconds are not required for this game.
I personally think that it should be :09 because of the same reasons Drakodan outlined
If the run is 9:59.920, then 10 minutes did not elapse.
Kinda sad that this needs to be a reminder. It should be common sense to those who speedrun or do any hobby.
Another thing you can do is go onto discord and find the little cogwheel for the settings menu. https://gyazo.com/5536b836aff96622e3ba78e78173f8f2
Then go to keybinds https://gyazo.com/ef7f5171ad368f0e1f87f7aa92a94300
Add a keybind https://gyazo.com/b5dc45e1ccb298c2422f28167e6f0460
Ignore the thing that says keybinds are disabled, I don't know why that is like that.
Once you click add a keybind you will see this https://gyazo.com/7f7df31affc3eab4377f209b37f5e2d1
Click on the action dropdown menu and you will see this https://gyazo.com/31a7d98d4261dc7d8da408dc5bca9b9b
Choose "toggle mute"
Go to keybind https://gyazo.com/d89f28f2c488c175a6cdaa97cf3274cf
And record your keybind, preferably to something that you do not use a lot (for me that is the home key but for you it could be something else).
Now whenever you need to mute or unmute your mic, hit whatever key you have bound to that action.
Yeah I guess it would have made it a bit clearer to order them in that way. I just ordered them in the way they were asked.
I was wondering when the next drama thread/ thread derailment would be.
Cooller was being facetious because he, like most people, frown upon creating multiple threads for things that already exist.
Depending on which category it is, I don't think that the starting up for the first time matters so much. It's mainly used to combat stats not resetting after loading a new game, which doesn't affect all that much unless you are going for world record or for a 100% time (in which the stat upgrades can be used for an advantage).
Admins run the site. Full mods can appoint mods and I think also approve requests for mod and games. Super mods can appoint mods for their game. Mods can lock threads, verify runs, reject runs. Verifier mods can verify runs. I am not aware of a true mod on this site.
Fraps looks awful IMHO and Bandicam has their name at the top. Xsplit requires an account and I have never heard of aktion. OBS is by far the best free program to use, but I suppose it ultimately comes down to personal preference.
GTA 3 only has a little bit of waiting. Sonic (gotta go fast, duh) Portal if you're really good is extremely fast Mario for sure
