a new skip has been found which has the potential if allowed to save a lot of time, give or take >3 minutes. the way it works is as follows:
- disconnect from your internet connection and hit the red part to return to blastbang level select
- head towards a designated arena fight and reconnect to the internet around halfway there
- touch the teleporter to a fight and the glitch should work. if it doesn't, you'll either be sent back to blastbang level select before you can get to a teleporter or disconnect from the game entirely. (also, although not recorded in the video, you do get sent back to the arena fighter area, so no timewaste having to teleport back)
below is a video of the glitch being used effectively, more rerouting is to come
a sub 1:50 seems to be probably the final second barrier or something along the lines of that, but doing it is scary challenging. some of these parts like stage 7 and stage 1 took me over 50 tries to do once, so it's not looking too good. also, some splices might not be too clean, but it doesn't affect the time
the w1 runs that reset to save time should prob be removed since that isn't possible anymore
okay so this might be the most bullshit thing i've ever done, so let me try to explain my process and give tips as shown in the video.

the way to know when to jump is incredibly abstract. for me, i use visual indicators in the form of either when a spike passes a killbrick and then waiting for a certain amount of time, or just going when a spike is in a certain location.

this strat is still rng for an unfortunate reason. the shots that super distortio fire at you can kill you randomly, but you can increase your chances by staying as far back without falling off the platform.
-
follow my jump pattern. this should be a given but what i discovered works with better efficiency than anything else attempted so far.
that will be all. i'm not going to attempt 16 star but with this method you might be able to. good luck if your future endeavors entail this garbage lol edit: lmao
so while messing around with potions and their effects i came across light potions, which seem to be a lot more practical than a lot of the other potions offered. there's a lot of skips that i already found shown here, and probably more available. they cost 25 visors and need to be bought from the shop (which can make up for a slight time loss). if anybody has any other ideas on where light potions could be used, let me know! (so far the two seemingly most practical skips as of now using this are the first ones shown)
i say potential because this strat is semi-rng, which could entail some concern, but here is how you do this
- buy a health potion from the fred bot before shadow temple boss (you will have enough by default, so no need to go out of your way to get visors)
- head to freezeflake and do orb 4 first
- go to where the trick starts and jump into the deadly water while drinking the health potion (i found better luck in just a little before hitting the water)
- if the trick works, you should be able to survive a single hit in the water through the gradual healing effect of the potion
this saves 10-15 seconds if done correctly but can make one lose 5-10 seconds if it fails. video example shown here
