I'm in favor of the idea, it sounds like a lot of fun to add more challenge to the run. For glitchless, the run is fairly easy and incredibly consistent. I got a 1:03:xx first try testing a fix to DoTween.dll that equalizes time loss during cutscenes to different hardware and fps values. I never checked how much time it saves, but it can't be an astronomical amount. This is another topic entirely, but I would love to reopen discussion on allowing that for the boards. In any case, it would be cool to mix up the category a little bit. You could make the argument of it being bad to split an already inactive board further, but at least personally the idea makes me interested in running again. Changes can bring some people back :)
I will crosspost the idea to the SoulGame discord to get more eyes on it
My thought is that IL timing should start on first frame of control after a respawn to the first checkpoint of an area, so that the run can actually be attempted without too much downtime between resets. For Terminus in particular, I think it also makes sense to use the timer given to us, as at least in this category then time is not determined by the framerate of the video submitted. I will take a look at all the IL categories and update their rules accordingly. Thanks for the first run and helping to disambiguate this part of the speedrun page! :)
Final time adjusted. 47:07.774 -> 47:10.153 (+2.379s)
Time discrepancies: 2:38.044 -> 2:36.601 (+1.443s); 13:17.107 -> 13:16.076 (+1.031s); 40:02.557 -> 40:02.652 (-0.095s)
Final time adjusted. 37:59.963 -> 38:02.487 (+2.524s)
Notation: time before exit -> time displayed first frame of visibility (+/- time correction applied)
Time discrepancies: 2:42.540 -> 2:40.827 (+1.713s); 10:16.069 -> 10:15.084 (+0.985s); 24:00.050 -> 24:00.194 (-0.144s); 26:30.914 -> 26:30.944 (-0.030s)
It's hilarious that I have to pull out a calculator to verify 108% runs. Just noticed the time discrepancy on quit out today, I'll go back and adjust your previous 108% run as well. Really clean route and nice run!
Adjusted final time from 5:28.502 -> 5:29.867. The save quit in Port Naga turned the in game timer back from 2:01.484 to 2:00.119 (taken at the first frame the screen begins to lighten), resulting in 1.365 seconds not accounted for in the final time displayed on the end screen that I have added back. Let me know if there are any questions.
Incredible job on all the runs and strategy development! It's a shame none of the mod team got to many of your runs until now.
your strats and movement are really awesome to watch. kudos!
oops i totally missed that i had a reset still in this highlight. run starts at 6 minutes
