I can't show a video. But I'll tell you how to do it. Also do the steps below after you did what I said in my previous message about verifing the integrity of the game files.
-
Download the .zip file from the resource https://www.speedrun.com/granny_pc/resources/0wexn
-
Unzip the file. If Window's file extractor doesn't work, then use 7zip instead.
-
Once unzipped, copy its contents.
-
Find Granny's installation folder. Open Steam > Granny > Settings (gear icon) > Manage > Browse local files
-
In the Granny folder, paste the files from inside the zip into here. If it asks you to replace any existing files, say yes.
-
Open the game and it should work.
Buttery Stancakes has now made the game more accessible and has added it onto GameJolt https://gamejolt.com/games/GrannyRecaptured/967513
And does downloading the most recent version fix your issue?
Yes, it's allowed. The rules say that "Audio is not needed, but is preferred". So try and make the main parts of the game listenable. The music should be lower down than the game.
Also can't you record audio only coming from the game? Rather than all of your computer's audio.
@Nicky_blaize, it's only been a few hours. Have you heare about sleep? It was 12am in the UK. And yes I'm going to help
Try verifying the integrity of your game's files. So this by Steam > Granny > Settings > Properties... > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files
Oe try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
These will replace any missing game files.
Afterwards try installing the v1.3.1 mod.
As what you've done I think is install the v1.2.1 mod, which is for an older version of the game, and some of the files that you need have been replaced.
@Nicky_blaize why is there a what in the background?
And the v1.2.1 mod was used
@Nsalamanya, yes, as public shaming is effective to stop people from cheating. They should be honest and not cheat.
The issue with this is that someone could be listed as a cheater when they're innocent. Like if the moderators made a mistake. I used to, when I was a mod on this game, only reject runs when I was sure of them cheating. And in the past, mods have made questionable rejections. Like if there was a small frame drop or a small blip in the audio. But I don't think this happens much anymore.
To even be listed on here, then you need to have cheated at least 3 times. This is a high bar to meet, and you have chance to change your ways and not cheat in the future.
There also aren't that may people listed on here to begin with. This might be due to moderators not communicating properly though. So people don't become properly counted as having cheated 3+ times. Especially as @Parzim has been inactive recently. So I wonder how many people have been caught cheating only 1 or 2 times.
Another popular game has a thread like this too, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

How does it not work? Is there an error message and have you brought the game from Steam? And is this for the v1.3.1 mod?

@AliciaBannon, what do you mean?
I can't help you with that issue. But why are you downloading the game from there? There's already an official download location.
On most of the Granny Fangames, this can be found on the game's Resources tab
