I know Seathorne had the same issue. I can't remember how he fixed it but I have a rom that works, if you want to message me on discord I'd be happy to send you my rom
That was a run that was on the boards for a long time and was taken down by the runner because the name of the category was changed. If it's known by the community that a world record run is valid, then the decision may be made to add it as anonymous so as to keep top times accurate but not go against the wishes of the runner. In this case, Andy's run isn't a top time and he's never submitted it in the first place so there's no reason to submit it for him. (Trust me, there's plenty more runs that exist that aren't on the leaderboards. Not just his)
Let's rephrase it. Wait until someone's done a run on it before asking for it to be accepted
Technically VC is an emulator, but yeah, the extra clarification isn't really needed
It has less input delay and is better for making TASes
If your pc can handle bizhawk, it's better than snes9x imo. Especially for speedrunning
Fast yoshi is if you hit the yoshi block twice on the same frame. The easiest way to do this is to throw a shell up and jump up so the shell and Mario hit it on the same frame. Fast yoshi isn't necessary for cloud though, it just halves the time yoshi takes to hatch.
(It happens because hitting the block twice spawns two yoshis and the hatching animation is shared between them; spawning three yoshis would make them spawn 3 times as fast etc. Not that you need to know this bit )
11 exit glitchless is a run type in 11 exit, you can filter by run type if you just want to see glitchless
Completing every level is 96 exit. There's reasons we don't use % in category names but to put it simply it just doesn't make sense for this game.
"fast but properly" Is that not contradictory?
If you read the doc Dots posted you'll see that it's barely faster at all
If you want w1 100% then we already have obroe% and that's close enough
Is there a guide/video/whatever anywhere that can help with setting up eontimer? I tried to use it a while ago but just couldn't figure it out
You can get usb snes controllers, but you can also get an adapter which lets you plug an actual snes controller into a usb port
Yeah, Seth had the idea with the intention of saying "technically this doesn't break rules, but it should" so there's discussion about how to adjust the rules to prevent manipulation like this
