I don't think retiming every single submission is worthwhile, nor realistic to expect of people to do in their free time. You could consider full purging the categories and starting fresh, but that wouldn't be very fair to those that have already put in a lot of time in the old format and are losing their accomplishments.

Is there a compromise to be made about only timing the top 10 submissions, or seeing what runs are genuinely a top 10 contender if they were to be retimed? I do agree that the suggested format of only the in game time counting is to be preferred.

We are trying to bring some life to the Bike Race Speedrunning scene, and make it somewhat more competitive and resemble speedrunning categories and what not as seen in similar games. This does however mean that the current speedruns that have been submitted will very likely not be considered valid runs, since we are looking to implement the single segment run for multiple level (packs) rather than all segmented runs for single levels (which is basically already a thing on other websites such as bikeracerecords.com). If you have any questions or suggestions we have working on setting up a discord for the speedrunning community, more updates will follow shortly!
