Can you please clarify your definition of extension.
@scubadiverxy If someone wants to run it I will add roof
@Htaed101 will add those within the next few days
@Htaed101 Are you envisioning 1 category for all box licenses or one for each tier
Tables require Level 2 so that won't work
We hadn't thought that far ahead really. I did not think anybody would attempt Level 80 anytime soon.
I have adapted this rule set from another game on SRC:
General Requirements
- For runs over 4 hours Runners have 2 WEEKS from the beginning of their run to complete it. Exception: If a segment is being played when this allotted time is exceeded, the run can still be completed. However, the timer is no longer allowed to be paused and the segment should continue until the run is complete.
- Submissions can be segmented. See rules on Run Segmentation below.
- Timers can be paused during breaks. See rules on Taking Breaks below.
Run Segmentation
- Segments should be a minimum of 4 hours of active playtime.
- First Segment: The first segment may include resets not associated with the final submitted run to reach minimum segment length, e.g. a player who is streaming their run live can submit the full duration of the stream in which their run begins to reach the minimum length.
- Last Segment: The last segment (where the run is completed) does not have a segment length requirement.
- Breaks are allowed to be taken between and during segments. See Taking Breaks for more information.
- Breaks between segments do not have to be recorded.
Taking Breaks (Applies to any run over 1 hour)
- You can take a break at any point during the allotted time of play.
- You may pause the timer during your breaks. The timer must be paused and resumed on the title screen or in an in-game pause screen.
- Mid-segment breaks must be recorded and included in the submission video. Note: Mid-segment breaks do not count towards the minimum segment length requirement, e.g. if you take a 10 minute break, then your segment would have a duration of 4:10.
- You may not look at any game notes/spreadsheets during a break.
Hope this helps. Good Luck
Yes. I will ask that you use the same video upload for all the runs in the same 'run' as it makes verification easier. Good Luck!
Tables are a good point. I will have to do some testing
I believe you are right this is an oversight on the creation of categories. I will talk with the rest of the mod team and decide how to proceed with this.
A place to discuss any game or category rules.
Please post any category suggestions here.
Hi,
I recently submitted 'TCG Card Shop Simulator' to be added as a game but it was denied under We are not accepting endless games with arbitrary goals. I have been in communication with multiple other users of this site who also want to speedrun this game and have a central place to record times. The reasoning I was given by the site staff doesn't make sense as other games of the same type have been approved this year including Supermarket Simulator. My request included numerous categories and rule suggestions. I included a video of a speedrun attempt.
The game is popular having 7.7k players in game as I am writing this!
Is there anyway to appeal aside from resubmitting and If I was to resubmit what are the chances of it getting approved.
Thanks,
WoToMoTa
