I Have a Question:
When someone deletes a profile is it possible to re-activate it?
If not, What do mods do about the runs of people with deleted profiles?
They delete the runs or they leave it anyway?
I have a run waiting for verification for 22 days on this game

The user is online everyday here, but seems to not use his youtube or Steam account very often, otherwise I would contact him.

Please, if it's possible someone contact him by twitch. Also If the moderation of the site wants feel free to put me as a moderator of the game:

Thanks
Bandicam is good for 8, 16, and 32 bit emulation. Anything heavier than that, try Fraps
Timmiluvs "I've never heard of playing an NES cart on a SNES, I have no idea how legitimate that is but I highly doubt it's allowed in NES speedrunning. "
if I'm not wrong I've heard the Angry Videogame Nerd talking about an unofficial adapter that runs NES cartridges on SNES. But unlike the Sega counterpart, the master system on genesis (which is official by Sega), this one is not licensed by Nintendo.
Timmiluvs, Does it record component in good quality? Can you give me a link?
Yep. Tec Toy was the deal back then, of course it was loosing market with time (Saturn was not so popular as genesis, and Dreamcast was not so popular as Saturn) till Sega stopped on consoles =( and so Tec Toy lost popularity Master System and Genesis were the main success of Tectoy here. But still Tec Toy kept producing Sega Mega Drives, New design versions of Master Systems, (portable and emulated versions with games built in are sold till this day) Of course those are not hardware identical to the 90's consoles... So, TecToy did a research among the retro fans (And trust me, brazilians are nostalgic lol when I tell you master systems are sold till this day...) And fans demanded it to be the most close to the first genesis model as possible (here called Mega Drive) And then TecToy started manufacturing these just recently.
I don't know how close it is to the original 90's release though. The major thing I heard so far is that it is not compatible with Sega CD (which is not big deal in my opinion) And also, it was made with hardware more like the second release of Mega Drive, not the first one.
The external look however is exactly like the first one ;)

Thanks, Kylovic but the Live Gamer Portable is way more advanced, and I know it's superb but certainly is not cheaper. It costs like double the price here. When converted from dollar to our R$. To me It would be a waste of money for now, since all I want is record Ps1, Wii and PS2. Not Hdmi
Has anybody ever used this one?
I'm thinking about buying this Avermedia game capture, I can use a pc SATA Hard Drive in this game capture and place it on the bottom as shown in the video in 2:35
The question is: I have some old SATA hard drives I don't use here, I could format them and they would be perfect for the job. But they're big in size, There is a way I can plug a big one externally with some kind of external adapter?
FurryWulfz. Good remind about PS1 and PS2 discs in PS3. So with PS1 disc in PS2 I just would have to prove that I'm not using fast-disc speed or something right
The only other hardware back compatibilities I can think of now are:
NES cartridge on SNES using a adapter Master System cartridge on Genesis using a adapter Game boy cartridges on SNEs using a adapter
I guess those are okay too?
Thanks, Lafungo. Yeah, I understand it would have to be changes (major or minors) for instance the "All-character" board name would have to be changed for "any" or something and then create news...
BasicalIy, I understand that there's not enough competition or interest from many to do so
The argument there's not too much competition seems flawless. So there's no point at the end
Anyway, keep the idea in mind =). Imagine how good would be an AGDQ run with characters like Mario and Luigi that nobody plays with. People are creating new categories for Super Mario World all the time, so if there's competition one day ;)
Cheers!
Jaggerfroid65, Yeah, it was exploding popular to the point that on the 8 bit era nobody has ever seen a real NES here until the mid 90's. lol there were some famicon clones though.
Interesting, I knew Tectoy (our Sega home manufacturer) had spread production for many neighbors around here but as I see it was not the case for you.
Snes on the other hand was equally popular to Genesis we might say, since it started being home manufactured (finally) around 1993
Then I'm thankful to hear your opinion. It's all about having fun. And I have plenty of reasons to believe it would be a valid Idea, reasons which I exposed here.
I still wait for the community to manifest what they think about it.
And before I forget:
If this is the nature of Speedrunning, as you say:
"If everyone has to choose the same car to catch up on time, then so be it. That's the nature of speedrunning" > 'only being fast'
Then why Super Mario World has "No Cape" category? since "cape" is faster than "capeless" (Isn't the nature of speedrunning only being faster?) Why No star run (if the star way shortcut is faster?)
Why no flower Mario, no Cape Mario, Small Mario...
Why "knife-only" category in Resident Evil? Shouldn't it be only the fastest way around?
If you're claiming that it's dumb to create new "arbitrary" categories for the same game then you're claiming everyone at Speedrun.com is dumb.
But this is not a less popular series... the boards would never be dead. So Let's see what other runners think about it.
Ps. I would love to see an AGDQ or ESA live run with runners playing Mario Kart with characters other than aaaalways Bowser and DK '-'
Is there any example of retro-compatibility which would be not emulation? just for the curious of it
FurryWulfz, If everybody choose the fastest ones, any runner will have to choose the same to catch up on time. As I said, the other cars play differently.
I haven't tried a run of this one yet because i think a must-have to choose always 2 cars "out of 8" is dumb, I mean, you can have more of this game '-'
I explained Goomba about the differences couse I saw he didn't have runs on this one, and I don't know much about other mario karts, haven't played them much. Never played double dash for example, I had no idea its the same gameplay on car differences
I explained why it's not arbitrary, and c'mon, it isn't
I explained on the standard forum why I posted a topic there. Sorry if it's too much of a big deal. Damn, you guys seem to get pissed about anything of a little thing sometimes... ><
I've had so many friends that only knew how to play Super Mario kart with a kinda of kart, and not with the others. But whats the point when its impossible to compete on time with the 2 same only cars everybody choose? Maybe that's a chance to make the game accessible to more runners?
I mean, it is as much arbitrary as playing with different Street fighter characters in my opinion (If there were two characters that beat the oponents faster for some reason, runners would only choose these two, and again other kinds of categories could be created to explore more of the game)
Anyway, since playing with Mario it's not the same as playing with Peach that's not the same of playing with Toad or DK and so on... If you disagree, there's no need to be angry and say everything is dumb. Why don't you just give your impressions on how you feel about the idea?
Jaggerfroid65 Hello Argentina. Did you guys have Master System there back then?
